Well, the plan was to set off at about 9am, but having had about 5hours sleep for the past couple of nights, then doing 9 hours at work each day (hard graft too, I might add), then working on RACK, I was a bit more tired than I thought... Lol
Never mind, see you this aft!
Thank you! LOL.
Well, J801 CAU made its last journey tonight. Tomorrow the engine will come out and into RACK and we'll hopefully get most of the loom swapped over... Might even be able to fire it up! Should take a week or so to complete, hopefully. Better get used to the bus.
Yes, quite a thorough one ideally!
I tell you what, I'll let you have a drive of it at CSS or something next year and you can see for yourself! Just go out, give it absolute death and if you don't come back laughing or deaf, then I've failed.
It's not a car you drive with a serious face on...
If I wanted it to be quicker, I'd have just left the old 1.8 in it. But its not about that.
The experience of driving it and having every sense absolutely battered is more fun than laptimes. IMO.
Okay, big things are happening tomorrow. It's coming off the road for the last time, engine and gearbox are being taken out then on Thursday I'll hopefully get them in RACK... I've made a chopped dash too, which I absolutely love! I've been umming and ahhing about whether or not to keep the...
Stumbled upon some old pictures of my old Clio recently. Miss it, even if it was slow as hell...

F**king hell. Talk about living the dream.
The roads towards the end of the video look amazing. Especially with that sunset and a flat-6 singing behind you.
Wow.
The more recent cars they've released on FM4 seem to have fairly decent offset too, so maybe they've got their act together with it! Doubt they'd go changing all the old models though unfortunately :(
You what?
I swear it's quietened down a little. Going to try seal it up a bit more on the joins, so it should be back to being its normal volume again hopefully :)
Christ! Effective then..
Where did you get this one from (if you don't mind my asking)? That handle looks brilliant, get plenty of leverage out of that!
That looks F**king awesome! Want to do a hydro myself; spoke to Mat Pickering about doing one as he had one on his MX5 IIRC. Only thing I was unsure about was whether to bother keeping the original handbrake or not, but this seems to have cleared that up!
Brilliant work anyway!
