the best offer I have had is £15995, then between 1.2k - 2.6k for additional options (i.e they weren't prepared to budge), needless to say I wasn't impressed. MK2 V6, *** cough, cough ***
can see they are carbon from the pics, same mats as mine (still waiting for my matching bootmat though :( ) very nice Maz, not a fan of the plate though, would look better with std font and euro GB badge.
the initial £15995 price is just a tad over reasonable IMO, but then when you bring it up to spec and add a couple of extras you are easily into the £17-18k bracket.
i think it will sell, just not at the current prices. I had a test-drive at the weekend but it wasn't long enough to make any bold statements, I wasn't impressed but it wasn't a good test, just an overall first impression. I have never questioned the looks, I like it.
one thing I found with the 197 is that there is plenty of room for adjustments behind the wheel, i'm 6ft 3ins and its the first car I have ever driven where I can't drive it comfortably with the seat all the way back, plenty of head room front and back too. I wasn't impressed generally though...
the sales man was giving it big time with it. Lots of media interest etc, expecting to sell lots. I was impressed with its composure until I took it beyond 50mph and it started to get chucked around a lot, this could have just been the particular road but in all honesty I don't think it was, but...
