Ah right forgive my negative post then Paul, thought that only K-tec mapped there own gen90 ecu and no one else. Hence why I said it should of been done completely at TDF.
Its definately not cheaper as I own/insure two cars, however I dont do it to save money. I do it as one's nice and comfy to drive and the other ones my toy to play with whenever I want.
I think anyone thats thinking of running 2 cars to save moneys stupid frankly, unless you do 50k+ miles a...
Lol you guys need to chill! When buying a second car did I ever say that it needed to be economical? The way I look at it is i'll now be driving the Audi 90% of the time and only really using the clio for trackdays, going out for a mad 5 minutes and the odd breakfast run. So I dont see spending...
Marco - I've kinda said I'd give someone the engine/gearbox. But if that fell through I'd probably say £500 without the silver 2118's, could make much more in bits though.
Cheers dude, tbf I actually am enjoying in comfort and quietness, no rattles either! Could do with a little more power which will be sorted in due course ;)
Yeah cheers matey! The reason for the second car if I do drive anywhere I dont have to drive in a 2 bucket seated clio that makes my ears bleed when I drive it! lol Its nice to have a comfy/quiet car to drive around when your not feeling like driving like a hooligan!
Lol, calm down! I paid £1300 for it, and as said up in my first post it the engine feels fantastic. Quiet as you like and very smooth, supposedly good for hundreds of thousands of miles! The service histories so extensive that mileage doesnt really mean alot, i've seen much worse running 20v...
Ah that sounds good with regards to that CR turbos building a hybrid! Whats the limit powerwise before the injectors are maxed out also? If its alright i'll probably pm you for some more info as i'm really not that clued up with this VAG lark! lol
Lol Vish, yeah I know its bad. I personally...
Fuel economy's not a problem Tom as I dont commute to work, would ideally like 250bhp with similar torque. Not really too clued about these, but instead of chasing bhp with just plain breathing mods and a remap first I might as well start with a better turbo.
Lol, tell me about it Dave! ;) But when there's a bargain to be had its got to be taken!
Who said that it needs a remap? Tbf, i've just been looking up the cost of changing the turbo from the KO3 to the KO3S or KO4 turbos, then i'll get it mapped I think ;)
Well this car was pretty shortlived, needed a major service really and would of cost more than what I paid for the car plus it had more than a few gremlins with it so it's going the Failsport way. Into spares :) If there's any Megane owners on here that wants anything just shout!
Oh and here's...
Well after finding out that the Megane could really do with a major service and fixing a few gremlins, it was going to cost more than what I paid for the car so the only real way was to start breaking it for spares and make some money. Had been looking around for a replacement for a while, was...
For some reason when I indicate right on the stalk it indicates on the dash and lights on the car left. Changed over to another stalk today and it does the same thing, also taken out the disk which auto turns the indicators off and it hasn't cured it.
Any help would be much appeciated
Cheers...
I see, I guess it comes down to which ever way your happy with. I seem to find that I can apply more revs with the way I do it than that way, as well as me finding easier the way I do it.
Not sure what you mean, I dont use the method you use by using the side of the foot. I actually use my heel to press the throttle pedal. So when my foots on the brake pedal hard I just twist my ankle up and over so the heels over the throttle pedal to rev the engine. Then when pushing on the...
