Borderline, when a vehicle is worth so little it gets to the point where it doesn't matter if its catergorised or not. If it drives well, has full service history, belts etc and its mint than it may be worth looking into, I would try and get him closer to the 1500 mark though.

Make sure the belts been done. I recently bought one and the belt was done in Jan 2005 bang on the 5yr mark and about 20k ago. It will be 4yrs in Jan and Im already considering getting it done again just to be sure. I almost wish I had bought one cheap without the belt done and then had the lot...

£140 for a replacement key coded to the vehicle, as said will be alot cheaper just to get a blade cut but that won't start the engine, just take the steering lock off.
