A few people on here have negotiated good ones but your always going to get that.
The majority around that figure will be snotters. You need the best part of £3k to get a decent ph1.
They look shite, but at the end of the day KTEC are a business and have to cater for the markets every need and that includes the lexus light brigade. Hence why they are still in business and alot of other tuners have gone down the pan.
Borderline, when a vehicle is worth so little it gets to the point where it doesn't matter if its catergorised or not.
If it drives well, has full service history, belts etc and its mint than it may be worth looking into, I would try and get him closer to the 1500 mark though.
+1, Im sure Daniel can source you a minter over here and sort the paperwork for a small fee (im 99% sure this is a service he offers) and it would still be miles cheaper than that.
+1 one, I could buy a trophy if I wanted. I decided the ph1 was the pick of the bunch, the trophy is a better car but I would rather have the £4k difference in my pocket, and if I wanted I could chuck £1500 at the ph1 on mods and it would be better than a trophy.
The markets flooded with ph2...
Billy basic spec though so no surprise, £10K?!
You can get a 1.2 TCE in Dynamique trim and metallic paint new for £9995, prob less than that now.
I quite like the dci 86 in Dynamique spec.
Make sure the belts been done.
I recently bought one and the belt was done in Jan 2005 bang on the 5yr mark and about 20k ago. It will be 4yrs in Jan and Im already considering getting it done again just to be sure.
I almost wish I had bought one cheap without the belt done and then had the lot...
£140 for a replacement key coded to the vehicle, as said will be alot cheaper just to get a blade cut but that won't start the engine, just take the steering lock off.
At least you didn't pay over the odds for it. The missfire could be down to any number of things, coil pack, leads, plugs the list goes on.
If it was me I would be doing a full service on it and a cambelt before I did anything.
Mine had the cambelt done at bang on the 5yr mark in Jan 2005, im...
