I had a piper cross induction kit on mine, made a nice sound on acceleration, I took it off though in the summer as you really felt the heat soak.
An exhaust of some sort is best for the most sound.
My girlfriends 1.2 seems to have an intermittant fault with the powersteering, I went to use it earlier and the steering light came on and there was no power steering.
This happened once before so I changed the battery and it was ok again for a while. Im thinking it could be the alternator but...
Cheers guys, it drives so tight, certainly doesn't feel like an 8yr old french shed!
Kicks nicely at 5k too.
Drives just like yours did, although its crying out for a prospeed!
Cheers guys.
I think the 182 is £80 more/ year.
The main reason for choosing this over a 182 is that I didn't want too much cash tied up in a car in this current financial climate, this was much less than half the price of a 182. Its a 62k one owner car from new with full service history...
Picked up this little gem on Saturday, its an early one (2000) so benefits from the cheap tax, has the alloy bonnet and shift light too, absolutely love it.
Plans are stick the private plate on, ph2 rear lights, get a parking ding pulled out and then go from there. Will be getting a full...
You have to buy the tax when you buy a new car, they add it onto the registration fee, it may be chucked in sometimes to sweeten the deal.
On used cars most traders cash it in.
I didn't even bother after listening to it idle, didn't see the point tbh, I had another CS member with me and he agreed it didn't sound right.
If it wasn't for the engine I would have had it.
At a minimum it needs a cambelt kit, aux belt kit and the water pump checked, in retrospect the...
Ph1 172.
In todays financial climate I wouldn't want £5k+ tied up in a french hot hatch.
£3k will get you a rotter with high miles, in my experience your looking at £2.8-3k for anything worth having add £500 onto that for the rarer colours.
In terms of the ph2's yes you can get a non-enthusiast...
I ve just been to see this with a view to buying it.....
The steering wheel is worn, as you would expect really, the driver seat bolster is worn, looks worse in the photos.
One fog light lense is cracked.
All the mounts on the exhaust are fecked and the whole system is very rusty.
All minor...
Don't take this the wrong way but if you were planning to fix the car over the weekend why not ring them up Thursday/ Friday and then they would of been able to get the parts in for Saturday morning.
As said why bother stocking parts that never get sold, if you think how many Renault cars are on...
ICM is the main Renault data base that holds info on every renault car on the road, engine numbers, gearbox numbers, options out of factory, work done under warranty, recall notices.
If I enter your reg/ vin, select programme maintenance it tells me what needs to be done when, the aux belt is at...
It was originally 5yrs it has been ammended to 3yrs/ 36k, it should be done on the 36k service, if it snaps theres a chance it could take out the cambelt.
I work for Renault btw.
ICM says 3yrs now.
Yep HN is ex renault uk.
Its a good price that in comparison to other exclusives on the market atm, probably hasn't had the belt done though.
Its also at a dealers so they've got their margin on it already..
Im in two minds on the exclusives, I love the colour, the rare factor and the bbs...
