As above, its about £140 including coding for a replacement plip key and blade, head down to your local dealer with your V5 and some photo ID.
Ebay special will be a waste of time nobody will be able to code it to the car.
Signs of overspray, panel gaps out etc.
Just because the car hasn't been serviced at Renault it doesn't mean the warranty is void, as long as the services are carried out to Renaults specifications using genuine Renault parts and you can prove this then you will be fine.
If a component had...
You will need nearer to £3k for a black dynamique on those miles.
I ve just picked up a 2001 Y 1.2 16v expression in nautical blue on 48k, paid £2300 for it, I could sell it tommorow down here for £2800.
Still see my old Clio out and about, miss that a fair bit, shouldn't have sold it, its now missing a wheel trim and looks filthy, all the work I put into it down the drain.
Miss the Lupo loads, haven't seen or heard from him.
I know the boxes in the Polo gtis are shite but I don't think its the same box in the Lupo, never had a problem with my 5 speed, the 6 speed box is nicer to use and alot slicker but mechanically mine was fine. The supposedly shite 5 speed box in mine was still better than any Renault box I have...
Re: Brought a car then sold the car - How much have you lost?
Me neither :approve:
However I have just bought a Golf Mk1 Cab and will probably lose a fortune on it.
Yep its a Clipper, Defender is still in the family lol.
Far cooler than your french piece Joe, im still after a mk2 gti but I could't resist this and it was only round the corner.
Cheers Matty, I surprise myself sometimes I count myself lucky I didn't buy the MG Midget I viewed on Friday night!
Its a second/ weekend car so coilovers could be a possiblility.
Its got a new hood to go on it too as the current one has a minute tear in it.
4th car in 2 months lol. This ones a keeper though, plans include losing the fog lights and fitting a badgeless front grill and a set of ats cups.
Sadly it isn't as mint as in the photo's, the paint is cracked on the bumpers so they need spraying and theres a few dings but its all good...
The new scenics etc can be reprogrammed with the correct mileage, unfortunatly the older units cannot be reprogrammed, get the dealer who did it to write you a letter to prove the change was carried out.
Incidently any renault dealer will be able to see on the system that a instrument change was...
dan.clio.
Lol whilst you appear to have a comprehensive knowledge of consumer rights etc you obviously don't have alot of experience in the 2nd hand car industry.
As I said previously how do you prove that the seller knew the engine had been changed, where did the 100k come from? Its impossible...
I wouldn't even consider it, its a specialist enthusiast car, if he can't even be arsed to word a decent advert hows the car been treated.
I ve done more detailed adverts for £250 bangers I ve sold, absolute pish, theres more information on a packet of tesco value custard creams.
I wish. I always buy at a good price.
If someones desperate to sell, MOT, tax approaching etc and looming finance payments often they take a low offer.
Its only worth what someones prepared to pay for it, I don't care what somethings worth on paper, I only offer what its worth to me, which is generally under book price.
I don't force anyone to sell me anything, its a take it or leave it offer, if they are desperate to sell it and haven't had...
