Fitted a powerflexed dogbone mount, highly recommended! Also chopped a bit more off the gear linkage under the car to bring the gearstick a bit further back. Now feel shite,I'm dying of a cold and it was bloody freezing outside!

As a non cup packed 182 you can use 172 cup shocks as they have the same 54mm spacing.

My friend serviced the silver one, brother changed the spark plugs in the black one. Mine got a replacement rear caliper, new rear pads and and new os cv boot. All good until I tried to drive and was greeted by a light grinding noise and no drive, that'll be the CV joint not clicked back...

Lowered the drivers seat, adjusted the gearstick back so 3rd and 5th aren't such a long reach, fitted new handbrake cables, discovered I need a new NSR caliper :( and cleaned the drivers seat belt. Just need to do the other side now!

Did you not consider reversing the inlet manifold for an easier/better pipe run or was it not worth the hassle?

There's lots of Bmws (and probably other manufacturers) with wider tyres on the rear than on the front so its not an MOT requirement.

Needless to say I wasn't in front of the M3 for long!

Inside line is that after 10 years the batteries are still expected to be at 80% life, so if they've got that right battery life shouldn't be a worry for a fair while.
