fair enough, i shant judge the decision of the mods lol!
have a good sift through that link i posted and find things that jump out at you, because there are some fantastic looking non-sports in there!
dont just throw loads of cheap mods at the car and hope for the best. I did that (black...
tbh dude, if youre into modifying your car in this way,
you're really on the wrong forum!!
this forum favours a more subtle look!
hence people telling you to put standard lights and get some bit off a sport clio to put on yours!
im guessing youve only just passed by your taste in modding, i...
Someone needs to get on the case and arrange the convoys **cough**vicky**cough**
im still not sure if im gna drive up on the day, or camp.
but id like to see details of both so i can make my mind up!!
So based on that idea of keeping everything looking similar, is the parade lap only for mk2 clios??
as id love to take my mk1 valver on the parade lap, but once again its not a cliosport and may look out of place among the mk2s!!
Are they the same from the mk1 valvers and mk2??
i seem to remember them looking the same,
but are they the same??
i want to put the wishbones from my valver (polybushed)
and put them on my mk2 nonsport,
but i want to keep the mk2 rack.
are they the same? or will i have to get polybushes...
So the shell of my F7R valver is on a steady slope to becoming 100% rust.
its past the point thats worth fixing.
How hard would it be to reshell EVERYTHING into a mk2 shell??
will the following be able to go across from 1.8 16v shell, to a mk2 nonsport?
Engine,
valver Dash (dials)...
white wheels on silver cars looks amazing!!
when you imagine it, it sounds terrible,
but when you actually see it, it looks amazing!!
my mates running turbines on a 172 and it looks epic!
Problem is, finding a mint mk1 valver shell,
and then theyre gna be going for a pretty heft pricetag!
pick up a mk2 nonsport with a snapped cambelt for pennies and do the entire conversion and scrap the mk1 shell, could almost do the entire thing for free!!
just need to work out if i need to...
i think im going to have resort to reshelling my hybrid into a mk2 :(
mines gone too far and dont want to reshell it only to be left with the same rust issues!!
its a FAIL!!
wheels and tyres have to be the same size across a single axle!!
so if you put both 16s on the rear, then thatll be fine! (providing theyre not buckled and the tyres have tread)
and theres nothing in the mot about them being weighted correctly.
just sling two legal wheels on...
dont worry dude, there are these things called seatbelts, they kinda stop you heading face first into the dash!!
Yes
There are no sharp edges,
All warning lights are functional,
theres nothing on the MOT list that requires you to keep a certain level of trim!
when everyone is saying take the...
60mm wont be that low but will easily work with standard shocks....but not forever!! zero extra mods needed, (except maybe rear archliners removed)
80 should be the same story as 60, however 80mm springs cannot be bought, youll either have to chop the 60mm springs, or get coilovers, but shouldnt...
im honoured my ph1 has been used as an example!!!
in answer to your question......LOW!
however i had to mod my inner wings to stop them hitting on the driveshafts,
and my anti-roll bar was hitting on my chassis rails which may have dome some damage.
as for mick's (the white ph2 on camo...
surely just looking at the spring would answer that question!
theyre not progressively coiled, and they pig tail to and from the same diameter.
therefore there is no right or wrong way up.
BUT if you want the writing on your spring to be the legible, then best turn it over ;)
its one of those gray areas, it is technically a fail,
but as long as it makes a fair attempt at retracting all the way, i cant imagin any MOT station will be too bothered about it
not actually a Zs,
its a base model 1.25, with a 1.7 engine from a puma fitted!!
personally i think it looks much better than the Zs,
and their faces as they try to show off in their Zs at traffic lights are priceless!!
Few pics of my F7R weekend schlag!
and a couple of my mates puma powered fiesta weekend toy!
Taken with A Nikon D90 with the 18-105, Hoya circular polarizing filter and a tripod by Michael snow ( www.flickr.com/whowhatwhenwhere )
with a bit of stance work you might actually pull it off!!
those new lips on the wheels to bring them RIGHT out,
thinner tyres and perhaps even some spacers!!
then a few nice touches and it could look very good!!
i quite like it, youre def heading in the right direction dude!
