Brentacre for me, there quote with all my modifications declared was £50 cheaper than a standard insurance quote. Updating modifications is easy as well, give them a quick call and it sorted straight away.
Do it! If someone offered me a mint Williams 1 for my Cup i'd swap it all day long. So much more fun imo and it feels so much more special when you drive it! Having owned a Mk1 16v I can say that there not unreliable at all, if looked after they'll be fine.
My gosh thats awesome, the turbo looks huge! You not going to have any problem closing the bonnet as it looks like it will hit the turbo!
Fair play though on the build, would love to have a 20v Mk1!
Got the gearbox on Tuesday Tim, going to get it refrubished just to be safe! You should have seen the packageing that it turned up in , just a cardboard box with a little bit of polystyrene and the box was falling apart! Wouldnt even think about purchasing anything from that Steve79...
I must admit i went for a little kickabout yesertday outside, much better I think! Though will have to do it earlier as it still gets dark around half 8!
I reckon with basic breathing mods (decat exhaust system, matched inlets, decent induction kit and a Fastchip map) with a bit of weight stripping can get you to near on 200bhp per tonne. With them modifications, mine has got me to the 180bhp mark so only need loose 100kg tops which isnt too hard.
That looks absolutely awesome! 15's definately look much better than 16's and the weight of them is crazy! The 16's I had were lighter than most other aftermarket 15's but did look quite big at times I thought.
That monster of a Cup wants to be back on the road now! Just need to get it refurbished and fitted ;)
Oh and trust me, never ever touching citroen/peugout again!
Budgie - Not sure how much to let the whole thing go for, it totals me around £1,000 but obviously I wont be getting or asking for that.
Seems there is quite a few people interested in bits and pieces so theres a few options...
Mate the car is a bad omen! Would rather just pull it apart than spend another penny on it, there is soo many other things wrong with it that I cant be arsed with anymore.
I'll flog you the whole thing for £700 ;)
Screwdriver in the lock matey. Fucked the lock and dented the door, dont really wana sell it as is as i'll loose a shed load of money and cant sell it with ruined lock and door. Might as well break it for spares and make more money that way.
