Yeah, its a 'trick' (used loosely) though it depends on the temperture, how they have coated the track etc, but give both a try mate and see how you get on :)

Id say not as fast as you would think - possibly a low 14 for the stang, as standard gearing is not great for 1/4 miles
Some preople are building track cars which are taken to track days to drive, others are building race cars for various different race series - these is no real ameture league matey

I have spent the past 8 years in various forms of Mk2 Clio's, and the 5 years previous to that in mk1's, and for my frame, the mk1 is 10x more comfortable than any of my mk2's were - you feel 'in' a mk1, where i always felt 'on' a mk2 - don't get e wrong...
Either 3 things have happened:
although water temp gauge was showing normal, the car was not up to temperature and it was on the 'cold' limit. (though that should be more like 6500 rpm)
