Dont even think about it, I work for renault, you need special tools etc for timing up engine, If you c**k it up then it will cost you a fortune. get it done at a garage, if goes wrong you will have a garage warranty.;)

I recon it will fail, dont matter that the tester can see inside the cat, the emission testing machine makes the pass/fail decision. I do MOT testing and most of the renaults I have done with fooked cats have failed. But hope it does pass;)

Hi sounds like one of your ABS sensor pickups is bent. (caused by stone getting between pickup and sensor) Had this a few times on some Renaults, have a look at the sensor and pickup ring make sure they all look to be good. If one is damaged it will stick out like a sore thumb.

I was let down badly by my car against a vts saxo:@ You know a traffic light GP, floored it in first as you do, was doin well the as the vvt cut in I lost traction and the wheels spun out of control... I give up after that as the vts caught up.... But my Zorst did sound nice! Im so sad...

Dont worry to much, it will only have bent valves, take the head off fit some new ones refit it and put a new cambelt on. Make itt sound easy dont I...... Its not a hard job to do, just takes time. PM me for any info you need, like settings, torque etc.
