Checked the valve clearences with jon last night, on the exhaust cam 2&3 are like 30thou when i believe they should be like 10thou like all the others were, strange how theyve gone like that tho, jons thinks theres a chance the 2 valves couldve been bent or could be but as he said its still made...
they never got going (playing) just that evo5 going up and down all night till like 9.30ish
i knew it wasnt you mate, did at first tho till we/i seen the wheels and reg, was that 04 plate 182 with gloss black wheels (warrens iirc)

and yeh i tried my old 90mm inner diameter one and that slots right between the gap, so ill see what its like with the 125mm internal one when it arrives, should be able to get away with it.
Yesterday removed the rocker cover etc and fitted a new rocker gasket so at least now i now its been done plus i think it was leaking oil down the back of the head onto the manifold.
Also ordered a new throttle cable from ford too, picking that up tuesday.

Jons came, sorted the thread out in the head, fitted the rocker cover and cam cover whilst i did the fuel rail, then jon did the brake servo, then everything on, started the car on a base map which jon uses for these Pico injectors, the loudest firework ever from the exhaust, and we started to...

Just spoke to jon, he'll be here soon, with the trumpets, helicoiling tool, brake servo connection and hose, and the fuel rail, so itll be getting started later :approve:, but the filter and back plate wont be here till late next week so...
lol mines 103DB and will probs be louder with the bigger bodies on... good job i have a spare centre section with a silencer in as atm i just have manifold, pipe then backbox lol
not selling as ive just re-fitted it lol
its cracked at the top of one of the primaries so ill get to that done night next week when its back on the road.
Stuff to do -
-Brake servo as i need the connector to go into the head where the injector blanks go
-Auxilery belt and cover
-Fuel rail and injectors (i fked up one of the seals inside the rail as i didnt realise that id have to file even more off the end as i was too impatient)
-Throttle cable...

Jon arrived at 5pm with the head sorted and the bodies bolted to it and the linkage all sorted... then got cracking so on went new head gasket, then the head, then the cams, cam belt and cover, engine...

i just find its usefull to see what going on, mine after say 5 full on laps its upto 100degrees ish, would be good to compare to bens.
