^^^^ Yeah i know . When i had my 172 i never once had to top up the oil and i did 48k from new . Could be just something as simple as 16v jon says , they might not have put enough oil in when it was serviced .
Some excellent stuff on carwashnwax as recommended by Alan .
Extreme Body Wash , best shampoo i've used to date .
New Look Trim Gel , fantastic on your tyres and any black trim .
XXX Hardcore Pure White Carnauba Paste wax . Easiest on i've used by hand , even easier off ...
No . Saw you were from Liverpool though , was gonna use em about a few months ago for my 172 but sold it so didn't need to bother . Heard they were good though from a guy who repaired my 172's seat .
Definitely sounds a strange one this ! Could be just a coincidence about the low oil level problem and you fitting an air filter .I've heard of some 172/182's burning oil before but without wanting to alarm you sounds like it could be something serious to have lost so much oil on such a new car...
Granted , you do see alot of women doing their makeup , messing with their hair , i usually see this early in the morning when they are on their way to work .But to label all women with the attitude that they don't give a sh*t is a little extreme imo .
The only way for Dan to get it sorted is to get his arse down to MIJ , tell them the exhaust is causing a problem i.e. making the car sluggish and that it needs looking at . Don't have to go in all guns blazing , sometimes people are more willing to help when you are civil with them .
Cos...
So you've never put a foot wrong on the road , misjudged anything , lost concentration for a split second ? Cos if you answer yes i would have to say i don't believe you . Nobody is perfect , its human nature that we make mistakes in all things we do in our lives , whether it be at work , home ...
^^^^ Agreed , it was an accident , not as if anybody wants to crash .Lapse of concentration or misjudgement of the oncoming cars speed .I'm sure we've all misjudged something on the road at one time or another .
Sometimes the light comes on even when they are connected , the plugs under the seat sometimes come loose and need a wiggle .
Like i said before , if the impact is detected as not severe enough the airbags won't go off .
Private sale is the only way to go if you want what its worth , a bit of a pain i know , but a dealer obviously wants to make money on the new car he's goin' to sell and the car he takes off you for px .
Put it this way , i was offered £4,000 for my mk2 172 px , i sold it on autotrader for...
Have you been back to tell them that your not happy with the exhaust . In your other post about your exhaust MarkM had the same problem with MIJ . You've paid good money for the exhaust it should be right .
Nice one , sounds like you shouldn't haven't any problems with the claims . Hope your all feelin' better soon :)
The claim for the whiplash will come off the womans insurance . Plus if they do repair your car , it can devalue it after a repair , so you can claim for the depreciation of your...
It all depends on the severity of the impact , the position the car is impacted . Sensors in the car determine whether it is severe enough to deploy the air bags or just the seat belt pretensioners .
I had an argument with a motorway crash barrier on a bend at between 50- 60mph and mine...
Fcuk me ! Not " Gary " from Eastenders ?? Its gotta be worth at least a tenner more , lol ;)
Seriously , get your ass down and have a look , its not even loosened up yet :)
Maybe it will get better after you've got some miles under your belt , when it carbs up and smooths out the flow , plus you might get a slight noise increase .
Like ya say , have a drive in somebodys who still has the original if ya can .
Gotta admit though , thats probably one of the...
You could get em refurbed , if its only the paint and not kerbing as well it wouldn't cost you much .
Where in the UK are ya ?
Any pics of the bubbling ??
The back boxes do look alot smaller than the originals , now whether that is the cause of the problem i'm not sure . I've seen similar sized back boxes posted on here before but nobody seemed to have any problems with it slowing the car down .
Firstly , that looks the the dogs mate . How much ? Only thing i can suggest is that the bore of the pipe going into the back boxes is smaller than the original size , 63mm is the original iirc . If it is smaller you would be getting a slight restriction .
When you say it is slower , is it...
Certainly sounds like the wonder wheels ( acid ) has got under the lacquer / paint . Every 3 - 4 is way too much , maybe just a one time application if nothing else would shift the brake dust .
Just a quick question sorta related to the viper / maxogen / other filter argument .
All these so called dogs b****cks filters are enclosed , to stop heat soak from the engine bay .
How come when you see the highly tuned Jap motors running silly bhp like 500 bhp or more they use the HKS...
