Thats a fair point, i definately want an upgrade for the 1.2 next year but i'm struggling for idea's if i don't get an rs clio.
Also don't want to lose more cash on it than i would on the 1.2 in a year.
Worse case i would keep the 1.2 for another year, but it would definately be going on...
Down to the driver tbh although according to evo the 172 is 1.4 seconds to 100 slower than the 182.
But on some twisties or on track it would be completely down to driver.
Although same driver cup packed 182 would be quicker.
Tbh on my weekly commute i average 38-40mpg, when the kids are off school and the traffic is less i get 42mpg. And thats in a 1.2 there realy isnt that much difference between a 1.2 and 2.0 according to people who have changed.
30mpg wouldnt put me off tbh i get 40mpg if i got 30 if would...
Yes it does with some companies :dapprove: i've got two non faults and it adds up to £300 with some companies. With others none, although if i was going to buy a policy off the ppl that charge i'd challange them and try and get them to take it off as its discrimination imo because you are not at...
There are plently of good cars under 2.0 mate. A mini cooper s is only a 1.6 but has a superchager, throw £495 at it and enjoy 210 bhp. They handle very well too. If i don't get 1*2 insurance then there is a fair chance i'll jump ship to one of these
Sounds like a good deal. doubt a decat would lose power, they are known to add a decent amount of power 5-8bhp and 5-8 lbft maybe that one was a quick one. renaults have erratic power outputs.
or a push bike?
Tbh i feel a bit sorry for him, he must be absolutely gutted. Its not a nice feeling to crash your car, especially if its on the day you get it.
On the other hand crashing was a good thing for me, taught me a valuable lesson and made me a better driver for sure.
Cup packed 182 is a good compromise imo although there are no bad RS clios. Imo 182 cup is most pointless you lose lots of kit to save 20kg you'd be far better off just half filling your tank in a ff imo. Although its easier to get RB 182 cups than FF
The last thing you should do when getting a new car is hammer it from the off. Need to learn its characteristics etc first.
But you have to laugh, aslong as he's ok and insured then no real harm done.
Why would you lie to save £50 when you previously declared it. If you crash they will go over your car with a fine tooth comb now so make sure you're fully declared etc i'm sure you will be by your opening post but just a heads up.
