I ment people say that tpft insurance is a waste of money. Also a 1.2 is a means of getting from A to B not a waste of money. I'd be happy to pay £1800 tpft on a 172, if i could get insurance for that price i'd go out and buy a ph1 today. Unfortunately i'm going to have to wait for my 1yrs...

What about a ph1 172 insure it tpft, i know people think its a waste of money but they're so cheap now its hardly even worth claiming for them the ammount your insurance goes up .

Bloody hell mate theres only a handful off the forcourt. Although atleast one or two will go over winter. Grab the exhaust manifold of the twingo rs its so good renault patented it.

Very very wise choice of 1st car mate. I was after a dci 80 but couldnt find one and my 1.2 came up cheap. They're certainly a fair bit faster than 1.2 16v's especially once rolling, and extremely economical.

I'd say shop around and go for it. Balls to waiting untill your 21 may aswell enjoy your hard earned cash while your young and don't have responsibilities etc

yeh exactly, when i get my next car there will be no animals going under it thatsfor sure.

A squirell went straight under my car today and it didnt even flinch, have done the same thing with a rabbit aswell. If i had coilies there would be two dead animals but thanks to directline not letting me have mods its saved two animals. would still prefare the coilies though :dapprove:

+1 I've left my 1.2 standard for over ayear now and will continue to do so for another year to retain value and save up for a 1*2 next summer. Although foxy managed to put his car back to completely standard and sell on nearly all of his parts so not loosing too much cash, that was a special car...

Sell it and buy a 1.4/1.6/2.0 tbh There isnt much potential in the 1.2 16v engine the best thing to do is strip it and/or just spend your cash on suspension mods to improve the handling.

Basically supersport is the louder one. The sport has an extra silencer. Sorry i have no personal experience, don't know of anyone with one on here tbh a lot of people don't bother with exahust mods on 1.2.

As above, my doorcards and seats are starting to look a little dirty due to them being grey and blue its pretty visible. What they need is a shampoo and there are several companies that do it, best i have seen so far is £35 and promises to restore it to factory condition depending on age, mines...
