    It's been dropping out of 2nd gear, really notchy when going from first to second... Took it to Renault for them to investigate as a good will gesture, turns out the first and second gear detent's have worn / knackered! So its going to replaced.

    ;) The magnex exhaust is a heavy old system! How have you attached it to the 182 cat?!

    Have a look in the BTM trader section... Fred is based near Birmingham airport! I would inspect all the engine mounts... Is the manifold touching the subframe when the exhaust isn't attached?

    I brought the upper gearbox mount an main engine mount for £45 Powerflex dogbone mount £40 I would guess 1 - 2hrs labour to fit?

    Clio 182 Upper Gearbox Mount, is a powerflex one available?

    For a road car all you need is a powerflex dogbone mount, standard main engine mount and a standard upper gearbox mount.. I fitted the above to my GF's 172 last weekend as her exhaust was knocking / grinding on the subframe... It's perfect now, tight but not harsh :)

    A diagnostic tool could tell you... Or an RStuner as said. Normally a tell tale sign is a higher rev limiter.
