I had some lovely heat spots on my 172 flywheel before it was skimmed..
And quite a few F4R's have leaking crank seals.. So a good time to replace that also, when the flywheel is off.

I didn't notice any difference after fitting mine... Waste of money really!
I got it skimmed when doing the clutch and he offered to do it at a 'cheap price' LOL
my 188bhp, 900kg Ph-1 172 was quicker than a certain 215bhp PH-1 that had most of the interior and a cage fitted to it... ;)
it all boils down to the BHP per tonne!

release bearings are common'ish to sound noisey and can be for months and months
I've not heard of many fail...? But that isn't to say they don't fail
