Nothings cheap on a Renault mate ,lol ;) It all depends how much the car goes for , your knowledge and skill level of repairs , access to cheap(er) parts etc ........
If you could snap it up at the right price i think it would be a good buy . It would obviously be better and advisable to...
Agree toyos in the dry are not bad , but that could be said about lots of different brands of tyre . In the wet they are sh*te and i care about the handling in the wet just as much as the dry , don't want to be tip toeing around bends like some old fart sunday driver ,lol ;)
The pirelli...
Probably tempting fate here , but i'm 100% happy with it so far , only 10 weeks old , just the usual knocking on full lock other than that no problems so far ( touch wood ) ;)
Where did ya take it , Kitchens in Burnley ? I wasn't impressed with em when i took my 172 there . But they did fcuk...
For a start dump the toyos mate . I had t1-r's and t1-s's on my 172 and tbh in the wet they are sh*te .
Can't believe how much better the grip on the Exaltos are wet and dry . The cup suspension on my 182 is miles better than the suspension on my old 172 , but i have to agree , some people do...
Cat C or D . Both are repairable insurance right offs . Just uneconomical to repair in the eyes of the insurance company .
The damage doesn't look that bad tbh . Somebody in the know could grab themselves a bargain. My old 172 had similar damage , not quite as bad as this one though .New wing...
The powerflow i had fitted on my 172 from the guys in Burnley was spot on , lifetime warranty don't forget . I'll be going back to them for one for my 182 when it rusts and drops off in about 18 months ,lol ;)
^^^^ I think the speedos are pretty accurate . I was doin' 120mph when i spotted a traffic cop just as i touched the brakes he zapped me with his hairdryer , the reading was 118 mph .
I have silvervisions , a slight orange tinge but its somethin' and fcuk all really . Offset pins ya need , front and rear are the same .
Got mine from http://www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ they're a bit of a fiddly b*stard to fit if you have big hands ,lol . Plus you get free philips blue vision...
Its alot easier than you think . One of the main things is to keep the wheel clean after each sanding , wash and dry it well before applying more primer / top coat .
You don't need to sand the top coat . But if the lacquer is a little rough you can sand it with very fine wet n dry , 2000...
It probably cost me about £25 - £30 , can't remember exactly now . You'll have loads of filler left even from a small tin , so plenty left for future refurbs .
Upol D Metallic filler . Halfords sell it in smaller tins , about £5.00 .
I used 320 grit , then primed it , sanded it , primed it until i was happy then about 3 or 4 coats of colour until it looked good , then 2 - 3 coats of lacquer .
Your better off getting your paint in rattle cans...
I used the Upol D Metallic filler . Halfords sell it .

5th Gear tonight . Some guy who charges about £5000 to wash n wax your car . Apparently he owns the only 2 tubes of Zymol palm tree wax in the UK . About £7000 a tube . He takes 2 weeks to do 1 car
The would imagine the speedo is calibrated for the 182 tyre size :
If you go from the standard 195 / 45 / 16 on a 172 to 205 / 45 /16 your speedo will read over . At 70mph you'll actually be going 71.08 mph
If you go to a 205 / 40 / 16 your speedo will read under and at 70mph you'll be...
