Yeah I always think did he walk into a world record benching competition for someone like MSI only then to realise it was computers not weights, decided to stick around and realised he was good at it lol.
Ian's a top bloke, very helpful
Trumpets + 1*2...+ trophy. What more could you want?
I mean obviously besides an LSD, 421s, supertec valves, a good balance and forged pistons and conrods... ;)
lol ta. still some left in the tank :D
I have a niggly issue though that I can't pin point. Overclocked or stock doesn't matter. Machine will hang, then start responding very occasionally. May be the GPU spiking. normally happens on desktop...going to do a driver clean up later.
Really don't...
I read somewhere they're looking at interest / orders and being built to order as it were. They're actually only binned to 1300mhz @ 1.212v. I say only, as mine are reference cards and I can hit that on water. However they don't suffer from the NV 'greenlight' that kicks in on the Classifieds...
on LN2? Definitely. The Ti's have much better VRM and power curitry. he's waiting on the KINGPIN edition I believe which is a beefed up Ti. I'm sure his current score will be beaten soon. I actually have a higher graphics score than his 780s on liquid nitrogen which I think is a result in...
Would be a close second definitely. Been a quiet year for games really. I would strongly suggest you download Burial at Sea DLC for Bioshock. Well worth it.
Nice. They've promised this will be a lot better on the PC this time round. Seeing as DS1 was purely ported because so many people wanted it, with very little added.
Must admit I'm still only about 70% tops through the first game. Just lost interest at one point. May pick it up again
lol :D. I can climb a few but won't beat 8 Pack Ian. His scores (as well as most at the top 5) will be on liquid nitrogen. I'm an enthusiast, I'm not a maniac. Considering that 7th score is probably a playable clock run boosting between 1.150 and 1.200v and a lot of them probably aren't playable...

7th in the 3 GPU stakes. W00t. In the world, I might add. :D
Trumpet blown
EDIT: And 9th in the Extreme bench
That's also on the stock BIOS across all three cards. If I was to use a BIOS that...
Thinking about it, one game I would possibly put into that category in terms of mechanic, scripted events and pace would be Portal 2.
On a personal level probably Deus Ex (The original).
As you say, very subjective even though 'perfect' is really an absolute. Last of Us does come close to that really. I can't really think of anything that compares to it in terms of immersion and story off the top of my head. I definitely thought by the end that it was one of the best games I'd...
Soon as I saw this thread. I thought exactly the same as most of those folk. On that note the DLC is rumoured due to PSN store slipping, to be out on the 14th of Feb.
Another contender for me would be Bioshock Infinite, definitely.
Per core it's not much slower than Haswell by the looks of it. Not many reviews on it though strangely. TBH if you're going with that CPU you might as well go with the 290X. You'll possibly see some great results with Mantle games. Although that limits you to Battlefield 4...and that's it for...
nearly? I wish! Clocks there are 1316 core and 1970 mem. I'm gonna aim for a run at 2Ghz on the memory :D.
Skyn3ts BIOS removes vdroop (stock bios will only allow 1.150v most of the time due to hitting the power limit) and an increased power limit of 200%
Also removes boost so whatever you...
lol it's a nice build mate and will do everything you need it to, I was only teasing. X79 is an ageing platform anyway. Although Haswell-E isn't due till 2015 by the looks of it.
Mate my run is a single card lol. So basically my 780Ti is a few point short of being faster than a pair of 680s. ;) ( I ran a 1832 last night)
Not done a Tri Sli run yet in Heaven
AMD cards don't favour Heaven at all. It's tessellation heavy and they're a bit pants at it, wouldn't read to much into it as your setup will be substantially faster in most cases
