ohh i made those myself using some crystal (lexus lol) renault lights and some red tinting spray, only costs around 40 quid. Edit: Like here http://www.therenaultshop.co.uk/product/Crystal_Rear_Lights_for_Clio_2_7711225810 except they're MUCH cheaper on ebay etc!

Thanks mate! i got a brand new mount when i got the exhaust & i've shoved a metal socket in there to prop it up a little... it's just really heavy!

.. one year into ownership. Been on here for quite a while now and it's been a godsend tbh. Some really tastefully done cars and it's probably saved me from adding any old tat to it! Started out as a 2002 1.2 16v Extreme, not quite poverty spec, but not far off! i've not got any progress...

i think they become compulsary in the next couple of years, but IIRC they dont have to be LED's.. could be wrong though!

could do that, but it's a case of finding another loom, soldering it correctly and wrapping it in wire casing - and i can't solder! :( booked the car in to renault for friday, they're going to try and solder it up etc, and the engine light could be down to a different fault... we shall see!

Right, Taped up the wiring a little better than yesterday and the car seems to run alright again, But the engine fault light is still on.. so does this mean it's sorted itself out and it's a case of dealing with having the light on, or am i still going to have to get a new loom?

will i need the whole engine loom or just that bit of it that's worn away? need to see where i can get one from quick!...

mine looks like there's already been tape around it, and the metal cover looks like its been stuck down with sealant or something... Renaults are just gay.

My car has pretty much died, running really rough, will idle rediculously and cut out... lights on dashboard etc. I understand the metal cover rubs on some wires causing irratic running amongst other things. wires are visible ETC. What is it that i need to replace? (what's the name of it?)...

If you get complete units i.e. with ballasts, it's just plug & play. only wire cutting etc is involved if you get an aftermarket HID kit.

it's a grey area, but i believe you will pass an MOT etc with them, so long as they're set up well. and complete Projector/Xenon units can be had for about £250-£300, but they seem quite hard to come by...
