I dont think that they can make the detectors built into cars. France and Holland consider camera detectors as illegal, so if you took your car with this fitted as standard into their country, they could pull you and then arrest you for this...
I remember the Truvelo camera by Wellington in...
In Tameside, they have those signs just before the camera. In Glossop and Hyde, the cameras are not yellow, Glossop are green (to match the grass and scenery) and Hydes are blue, so they are naughty...it just that these signs are placed right in front of the cameras, so by the time you are...
Also, this thing where some cameras are going to be looked at to see if theyre accident savers or money generators...I think this is a good idea, and if the camera is seen purely as a revenue generator, then why not just remove the internals from the camera...so that there is just the housing...
Simon, the diffusers are classed as "perverting the cause of justice" if youre found to be using one. They can be reasonably well hidden in the car, so not blatently obvious. plus, most "safety units" **Cough (bullsh*t) ** have one person watching and they prob cannot be bothered to go hunting...
On the original topic of too many cameras, they are effectively "blind instruments"...ie blind meaning that everything is black and white, there is no course of leniency. How many people if caught by a traffic cop, and advised about their speed and sent on a driving course (so you can learn...
Even worse mate, what would have happened if Johnny Law decided to give you a tug....no insurance = circa 6 points...plus costs!!! Also, if youd have had an accident, then you wouldnt have been covered...You want to grab them by the short and curlies, as this is what they all do to us around...
Have you given the ultrasonics a chance to arm? If not, then the sensor doesnt know its surroundings and so will not notice anything that shouldnt be there..give it about a min - 90 secs to arm the sonics...should go off then when you try and put your arm in.
Do you mean like a digi-chirp system, or are you talking as in reverse parking sensors?
If you mean digi-chirp, Id say no, they need to be done as part of an additional system, and most alarm installation people wouldnt want to mess around with the renault alarm (warranty, too expensive to get...
Its what I was led to believe, I got my car as second owner, but was led to believe that there were 300 made in silver, and those came with CC, but the Mondial blue cup did not come with CC....thats a bugger, as I loved the blue, but didnt think that they came with CC! Bah those bloody lying...
Sorry blink172, I hate the normal air controls, not the CC...although I used to have A/C in my old 306, and that used to send me crackers (it came on when it wanted, not when I wanted it on!!!) ...does the CC use a lot more fuel like A/C does?
If there is more than one person insured for the car, then I think you can claim that you are unaware as to who was driving at the time the camera took the picture. The only problem would be if the camera was facing you, then its got you by the short and curlies. I know that Christine Hamilton...
Blink172, only the silver 172 cup has the CC...problem is theres only 300 of them, and I dont know if they can demand a premium price due to their exclusivity. The air controls in the cup are the same as on a normal clio...its not a bad thing, just something you either love or hate...I hate, but...
Up in Ecosse mate, I dont know of any Reno dealers, I do know there were some around the midlands who bought the last remaining Cup models, but there is an Arnold Clark in Warrington who do some pre-reg cup models (but I know that some people have issues with them). The problem will be if theyll...
My cup seems to do that also, sometimes even trying to pull me towards the kerb while braking if Im not 100% alert. Its unnerving when it first happens, but the car is such a hoot to drive, I can forgive this little niggle, (unless it puts me into some stationery object!) :p
Well, Ross if you dont mind me asking, how much are you looking to pay? There are still some pre-reg cars with a handful of miles for £10K-11K. Therell also be the Renault warranty, and the AA cover. Just do as you would with any other car, as when I was test driving my car, the stop light would...
The Asda near me only does normal unleaded, rather than super...:(
I stick to Sainsburys, I know its only 97Ron, but its better for the old 172 than normal.
Check http://www.aapetrolbusters.comwww.aapetrolbusters.com and see if they have details of the cheapest petrol for you.
I bought the cup, because I liked the look of it, and I couldnt get the 172 standard in Mondial blue...I admit I would like Alcantara trim, but then I also like the appeal of the cup, its a toy without any of the luxuries/necessities (delete as appropriate) Its not meant to be a standard 172 and...
I doubt it mate...there were only about 300 silver ones made as far as Im aware, so the chances of getting one pre-reg is the same as finding rocking horse **it!!! Sorry...but I wish you well, just in case!
The pug wasnt too bad...the 1.2 theyve given me is a bog standard 1.2...not an extreme or dynamic, etc., the handling is garbage, the feel of the car is bad...It was probably a Friday afternoon car! <KLB> I wasnt putting down the 1.2, just this one! My brother has a 1.1 saxo with an...
Thieves arent normally that intelligent mike! I had my old car broken into, and I had some brand new 17" s on her, the locking nut was on the floor the next morning, so theyd seen it, but not realised what the hell it was for...suffice to say that the locking nut never went into the car after that!
I used to get that done with my PUG, but then again, I did spend best part of £900 on it! they picked my car up, performed diagnostics on it, and when they found more on it than it had been booked in for, they gave me a loan car (I did have to politely inform then that if they didnt give me a...
Dropped my cup off at Reno bodyshop due to spoiler catching on the rear of the roofline. Im now driving around in a 1.2!!! Im gutted, as it doesnt seem to come with a "loud" pedal!!! Im only hoping and praying that I dont get spotted...not been spotted in my cup, so definately dont wanna be...
I have a cup, but sometimes wonder if it would not be better with all the extras (CD Autochanger; thicker glass; climate control; etc.,) there is little difference in speed and if you got the cup pack (think its spoiler and suspension/track) then youve got the rough with the smooth (a bit of...
The windscreens that are on Renaults (apart from the cup) stop the box picking up the GPS signal properly. You may need a re-radiating aerial so that it is fine. Not sure how much extra they are, but worthwhile investment. Just have a look to see which ones have the re-radiating aerial, then it...
Deek...I aint got a clue mate, only had me cup for a month, so not certain. There are only the Lookers in Altrincham and Stockport...then Renault Manchester in Salford that I know of.
