    any difference between 1.2/1.4 dynamique??

12.6 secs to 60 for a 1.2 16v, but your right about the wheel clause in small print. My alloys are only 15" but have low profiles so they are exactly the same rolling radius as the standard 14's. They don't seem to make much difference to the performance and improve the handling no end. The...

    any difference between 1.2/1.4 dynamique??

Your prob just a s**t driver :D 1.2's are by no means quick but there are much slower cars on the road, there is a noticeable difference between the 1.2 8v in the authentique and the 1.2 16v unit. Around town mine is quite nippy you just need to let it rev abit, if you try and go up a hill in...

    Deep scratched

http://www.autoweb.co.uk/car_detail.asp?cdID=851516 Bit expensive though! Didn't realise they had so much of a premium, other option is the petrol blue/ green ID colour, expect they are even more rare though!

    Deep scratched

Cheers Dave, a touch up stick may do the trick as its only small. Probably my student loan :D. My mate had a liquid yellow one for a little while, i ve got to have one! Need to wait till March at least, otherwise the insurance will ruin me!

    Deep scratched

Afternoon, just come back from sainsburys and it appears that whilst i was in there eyeing up the cream cakes some silly bint has scratched my clio. Its quite a deep scratch on the drivers side rear quarter panel about 2cm long. Sounds pathetic I know, but there are no other marks on the car and...

    Project Clio...

I reckon its the 2.5 V6 not the later 2.6/ 3.2 V6 fitted to the omega, 170bhp is about right for the capacity, pushed the Omega to 60 in 8.5 seconds so should be rapid in a clio.

    Oil change went wrong...

Just done an oil change on mine, the nob in Halfords assured me that Renault didn't make a 16v 1.2, didn't even look on his computer. Wanted to shut his head in the car door lockstock style! Managed to find the correct one by looking in the aisle on the charts.

    From a 172 to a 68

If you really want to save money I wouldnt bother with getting something new, I would sell the Clio and get something secondhand or a banger.

    hey here you go...

Steelies, tartan rug on the parcel shelf, christian fish on the boot lid and a national trust/ "dog is for life..." sticker on the rear window. Furry steering wheel and seat covers, 1.2 badging. Pull up at the lights next to a 1.0 corsa with lexus lights and a bb4, leave him standing! Proper...

Is A Clio With 90k On Clock Worth Getting?

Look abit harder! I bought my 2001 51 plate 1.2 16v 48k on th clock full Renault service history £2.5k cash. Ok it is an expression rather than a dynamique but rather that than an 8v of the previous shape. Look in the Midlands are on autotrader, there are dynamiques with under 60k for around £2.6k.

    Final bit of advice

I drive alot between Uni (Nottingham) and home in Bournemouth which is 200 miles each way, not even that bad, the Clio cruises happily at 80, doesn't give me back ache and returns a reasonable mpg, better than the train thats for sure.

    Final bit of advice

The mileage is alittle bit high, but I don't think you need to worry as it has clearly been looked after, shame its only an 8v. 426 miles is nothing!

    TINTED!!! Pics

Looks great, especially with the dark rear lights, if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for the tints, and are they legal? TSW Pace I reckon.

Had Cambelt Change, feels much healthier

Renault reckon 5yrs or 60k for the cambelt on my 1.2 16v, so I rang up the local Renault dealer and they wanted £390 to do it. (my car is now 5yrs old and 50k). Took it to a specialist and £200 later it was done, I asked for the old belt back and it looked ok but you never know, also had the...

    Newbie 2

Hi im new on this forum, im 19 and from Bournemouth and I drive a 51 plate Clio 1.2 16v. It needs lowering (and a good clean), i plan to keep it subtle and get some clear repeaters and maybe colour code the black plastic bits! Would love a 172, the prices having come right down but insurance...

Is this a down grade ?

If your clio was a 1.2 8v and the festa is a 1.25 zetec then its an upgrade. The Zetec engines are fantastic and a 1.25 fiesta will be alot quicker than a 1.2 clio, even the 16v. The fiesta's handle well, just look dated and only have the one airbag.
