Never thought about checking the tube for tutorials.
I've been playing around with curves recently but don't fully understand how to use it properly (just been messing around till i stumble across something that looks remotely good).

Is that colour from multiple exposures (i don't even know if this affects colour) or is it fiddled with?
Assuming you don't have that many yellow mugs.
The challenge sounds like a good idea. I probably won't take part often though. My artistic ideas are very limited to say the least :o
Anyway had a boring night so i thought i'd try some more. Got a much improved 2nd set (most of which didn't need any colour enhancment :))

Nice to see you have made detailed plans on what you're gonna do. Obviously parts like wheels can be changed and sold on easily enough so by all means do those.
In regards to what everyone else is saying, i would advise you to find out the total cost of making a (full on) rep...
