i've recently chopped my 172 in for my 197, i do miss the old raw feeling of the 172 but the 197 feels alot more planted in the corners as standard. To be honest the 197/200 is a whole totally different driving experience compared to a ph2, performance wise i'd say there on par but handling...
Looking clean, the diesels are very underated i reckon. Drove an 85 a while back after doin some work on it an for what it was i was rather impressed by its performance.
tbh i had gaz coilovers an gotta admit, the car did sit well but even when adjusting the dampening the ride wasn't the best tbf an if you hit a section of bumpy country lane the car felt so skittish!
in my opinion theses cars arn't built for that, there more suited to buzzing down country lanes with there point an shoot abilties. Theres no skill in pulling 160mph down a motorway, tbh its just abit mindless
