When you've got 250bhp in a tinshoe you can take your time lol. Syncromesh gear boxes no matter what you do will probably thank you better for changing slower rather than rev matching

If it's only when warm like Mike says it's most likely the dephaser. They rattle when the oil thins out and if the oils not changed regularly, they fail. Will sound like a diesel when they're knackered

ah ok, mine could do with cutting down anyway so you'd be no better off. I went for the R26 injectors on mine, wasn't really a necessity but they were running 99% duty on the limiter. Feels so much better to drive now with a fresh set anyway. They're not cheap though

If you can pick them up cheap enough and you're due a cambelt change, I'd consider them. Seem to offer more peak power than the standard mk2 ones at a third of the price of after market ones
