Phase 2 172, well jump in the car with morning, knocked the heaters on and they worked, went to defrost the windscreen, jumped back in and bam! nothing, the controls work, you cant set them to what settings you want them on but theres no air blowing? any idea's...

happened on mine mate, its a fault with the linkages, mine was covered under warrenty, get it done soon as though because all the paint came off my pillar and the linkage just snapped in the end, was stuck 4 hours from home, on my own at the side of the road in the pissin down rain! lol
on my 2nd clio, first one the only thing i had to change was the clutch, wear and tear
and this one i've had for almost 2 years and i've only needed to change the battery.
not major problems
but i will be having a 3rd clio soon if that answers your question lol

right then, just checked the alternator and it seems to be charging fine, between 13-14v, knocked the heaters, lights and radio on and it dropped to low 13v's, knocked them off and it went straight back up to 14v's.
