No, nest in main living space then use rad stats to adjust the rads and set them to how you'd like the other rooms to be when the nest is at the temp you like.

I'm not sure about the others but with nest it wouldn't be to difficult to fit it then remove it when you leave.

One thing to think about regarding these 2 is that Nest is the only one that supports opentherm. If you have or are looking to get a newer boiler it should work better. It also makes use of a motion sensor and looks better!

Plenty also advise (including the nest manual iirc) you should have it in the main living area!
