Yeah let my local garage do it. It could be better but for what I paid it'll do. That way I'll have more to put towards another mint one then sell this one for someone to use as a track car or just a cheap hack...
Hi, as per tittle has anyone heard of Wayne Masseys Automotive Solutions?
I've found a new Clio that I like the look of and the seller is saying someone called Wayne Massey in Stoke on Trent did the belts and map.
I've never heard of him but looking at his facebook page it looks like he works...
It's only a gimmick on cheaper stuff, much like cheap sound bars proclaiming to give you the sense of 5.1. With the right kit it's definitely better no question.
I won't be using it for track I don't think. But at least I won't have to worry as much about where/what I park it next to and I'll be able to just chuck my mountain bike in it etc without having to care so much...
My mind keeps changing daily on this. So annoying whats happened!
Today after reading some of the above posts I'm thinking now to get it repaired and run it though I'm not sure I'll bother with the belts Jan. Then if a mint car pops up over the next 12 months I can snap it up and then sell...
Well I'm in the same boat as you now ??.
I'll have probably up to 5k, 5.5 at a push. Could go FN2, R26 etc or just find another nice 182 which I'm leaning towards at the moment because well I know what I'm looking for in them so it's not too difficult. Plus they're probs the cheapest to run...
Yeah it does take the shine off. I'm leaning towards letting it go and moving on with another at the moment but tomorrows another day and I might change my mind again lol.
If anyone has a good example for sale then feel free to try and sway my decision(y).
So the car has been classed as a Cat S write off today :(.
I'll be buying the car back but I'm unsure on what to do after that.
I could get it it back on the road myself and keep running it. The only issue is that it'll be forever be a Cat S now and I'm not sure I want to be chucking loads of...
Update time, I managed to get the boot to lock now which is good news. Waiting for the insurance company to get back to me regarding a hire car etc..
And here's a few pics I got of the boot floor damage.
I'm incline to agree if possible at the minute. Case of do bare minimum and run it as a shed or chuck good money at it and sort the rest of the niggles with it to make it mint again. Mechanically it's sound.
No disrespect but probably better starting your own thread for that one?
Already insurance from the off. AA recovery said they'd be claiming their costs back for the trip home. That and it was a fair old whack that I got, my head twatted the headrest quite hard. I'm starting to think he might have been reving his engine for me to do the same, majorly failed at it and...
I need to give my bike a good look over tomorrow. Was 500 yards away from LUBP when it happened lol. It got pushed into the front seat so hopefully that gave it enough room to just move...
Wouldn't like to say really. Sure I'll get change out of the 3k or whatever I get back after buy back but it'll then always be a cat d or what ever they are now...
So anyway back on topic...
I know you'll all say pics are needed here which I wish I'd got before now but with the shock, adrenaline, fucked offness and headache I didn't think to. I'll get some in the morning!
But if I say I want to keep hold of the car how easy is it likely to be to get it to...
Seriously what the f**k are you talking about? Get away with what??? I have nothing to proove. Are you trying to suggest I'm lying about the state of my boot floor prior to the incident?
Don't judge me by your own poor standards if that's the case.
f**k off being a patronising dick!!
I'm not a mechanic and I don't have a drive to store the car on. But that doesn't mean I don't like my car. It was involved in a crash so it got reported to the insurance as it should have been. I'll see what happens when they get in touch tomorrow. I might...
.
Yes I have thanks. I've had this car 6 years now and it's been within CS ownership for a lot longer than that. I had a 172 for 5 before that. I'm an enthusiast so I'm not sure what your trying to suggest tbh?
