Yeah it sucked, but car was in my care at the time and I couldnt give him back a f**ked car so just took the hit, he was happy and has been back ever since so its always a bonus. OT: Sounds like a good result mate!

I had a cambelt snap on me a few years ago.. Just done brakes on a 172, went to pull it off the lift and belt snapped... I hadnt been anywhere nearthe cambelt but the car was in my hands at the time so i had to stump up the cash for 16 new valves, cambelt kit, aux kit, waterpump, headgasket...

id buy it if it wasnt that price, take off the nasty parts fred found and it wouldnt be a bad car..

I know :( I just havnt had the time or energy after work to do anything... Need to decide what im going to do with it now... Keep it or sell... Part of me says keep it, strip it down and start fresh, rebuild everything, other part says sell it make profit buy something else..

The above is true.. You can pack the insides a bit to try stop movement... I tried it.. Didnt work
