Looks nice Fraser is that your car all ready to go ? Ive still got alignment and rear brakes to sort this week.
Do use have any old front brake disks lying about at the unit I could do with one to try a brake moc up on my spare hubs.
Got back today :)
I was going to fire up in the morning to try and buy some tyres for my 2118's ready for next week, but Im going out to Edinburgh with the Mrs now.
Ive never had bother with brake fade at knockhill unless I've stayed out for over 25 min normally boil the power steering before that , 5 track days later and I'm still on the same front discs and pads.
Sounds like it should be a good day just hope the weather is ok , I still need to get alignment done and could really do with some tyres.
Has Ronnie had his shop open at the last few trackdays ?
My car had 16"888's on when i bought it on track it only rubbed lightly on the near side rear, but switched to 15's and did notice a improvement on track plus tyres are a lot cheaper.
I know chip rollers can vary so much thats why i have stuck to the same ones as I can then overly old and new graphs.
I know on my old set up we had the standard injectors at 100% which others have had between 210 and 215 out of on healthy engines, on this set up with the Pico 490 injectors we...
Nope chip still on the ED cams but they seem maxed as die on their ass after 7500 rpm, we upped the limiter to 7800 and the power dropped so took it back to 7500 for safety as still on standard rods.
Looks a good project hope to see it up the Hill at some point this year.
I would think your more likely to see 4/5 bhp max from the body and flowed inlet not 10, I would get the fuelling checked to be safe as mine went lean in the midrange after i ported my old inlet.
Re: Road/Track 172
Yeh more happy that the engine looks to be performing as it should as it's the first high comp build I have done, I'm not overly fussed about the top line figures but I'm happy with the gains when overlaid on my old graph.
the shift is brilliant but i now see what people mean about the rattle, i think its the reverse lift spring so i might take the knob off and put a bit tape around the spring so its not metal to metal.
