LOL, natch! It did for that quali lap anyway, i reckon i must have been thinking 'soft hands' as i have a tendency to grip the wheel too hard when i'm concentrating, which doesn't allow you to feel as much.

I'm just into manual gearboxes for the road any more dude, can't be arsed with a clutch when most of my driving is monotony; especially as i'm lucky enough to be able to race, i don't go out for weekend drives or anything like that. The Tiptronic in the 997 is more advanced than the 996, but...

Sorry Naith... still not seen the Elise. Bought the diffuser? Finally a bit of footage; my pole lap followed by a more aggressive lap. Thought the two were an interesting contrast, as it shows aggression doesn't always reward! Ultimately, being sideways isn't as fast as going forward...

I'm surprised, only one comment on the gearbox! Can't say i regretted the move when stuck in a couple of hours of stop start traffic ;) And yep, the MPG is amazing, especially when you consider it is a 5 speed, not like i have a hundred gears to work with... Would certainly recommend a weekend...
