Your location form a cell tower can influence the result, try it in more than one location.

I have noticed that even with only 1 bar of 3G signal my browsing speeds remain very fast so it may well be a artificially low reading we are currently getting and the handset software is cutting off the connection when it...

The battery on my iPhone has impressed me today. Most tasks have been processor hungry and I've already exceeded the battery life I'd expect on a daily basis from my old 3GS

No wifi issues at all for me, if anything I thought it was much better than my 3GS on my home network.

I'm loving having the net on my phone again, two weeks with a crap old Nokia was not at all fun. The screen on the iPhone 4 makes it suitable for browsing while sat in front of the tv. Glad I didn't buy a iPad.

Do a search on Google for that problem, it's fairly common.
