I would suggest getting new seals or if you really want shot of it a new roof skin.
I only put a panel on mine because the cage can't be fitted with the sunroof in. It does the job but I wouldn't want it on an everyday car.
Re: My new project - 106 GTI
Another productive day down the workshop..
I stripped the rest of the sound deadening out from behind the dash and heater, then removed the airbag unit. I am thinking of removing the heater and replacing it with a small one that my friend has just fitted in to his...
Great example, I would love a yellow one!
Gearboxes are something you will get use to changing, I have gone through a fair few of them. Hopefully the refurbished one should last you. I currently have 4 spares :\

Cheers guys!! I am gagging to get working on the car again!
You are correct you don't see many cheery red 106's around these days it's a pain to find spares the correct colour and it doesn't help they fade terribly!

Sad to hear! I have just added a cage to mine and I do admit I do feel a lot safer!
Bendee.. Could you PM me a details of what you ordered to do your fuel setup? I am trying to work out what I need to do exactly what you have done.
Had to nip up to London tonight to meet up with a wedding client, thought it would be rude not to do this shot again! I have done this photo 3 times with three different camera setups and this one was shot with the d800 & 35mm f.14 sigma.
I shoot with my d800 at 6400 at times and its fine don't really go much above that :/ I like the idea of the of the DF but think its a tad over priced but still a lovely bit of kit to have if you have the wallet for it.
I haven't posted in ages I have been shooting weddings for quite some weekends on the trot this summer. Every time I shoot one the confidence grows and I learn more and more.
