Wheres the best place to lift the front corner up using a trolley jack? Im reluctant to use the standard point on the sill as Im concerned about damaging it. Also, where should I position an axle stand once the car is up? I can see a couple of points under the car which I think should be...
Dont particularly want any more power. Its hard enough getting the power down in these conditions as it is with FWD and the torque steers a b**ch.
4wd next.
Pah, try getting a test drive at 21! Its a real nightmare, on more than one occasion Ive been asked to put down a deposit on the car before even testing it! Whats the point in that?
Having said that, the place I bought mine from were a good bunch. The test drive was about 20 minutes...
Preferably a Dell one?
We might be getting offered these through a HCI scheme at work. Just wondering if anyone owns one or had any experience with them? Alternatively can any recommend a better alternative?
Like to the dell one here...
Yes. If you have an accident, therell be enough bad sh*t going through your mind without having to sweat it out wondering if your insurance will be voided. Believe me. An extra £100 or so on your policy will seem like money well spent.
I dont have a problem with the clutch on mine. In fact I cant remember ever reading of any problems with the 172 clutch on here. The pedal on the older willims and valvers are hellishly firm tho! A real work out in stop start traffic.
If I was to get my current standard alloys painted up in an anthracite type colour with a silver edge, would my insurance premium go up? (Im currently with Admiral btw.) Id have thought this is a cheaper option than buying after market alloys from an insurance perspective.
Has anyone got any...
Good advice Moose. I was driving along the road with these cameras on today in a convoy at around 50-55 and some loon overtook us all. The main problme with this stretch is that because some of its dualled theres the temptation there for the needle to just creep up to 60. You end driving along...
Im hoping to land a new job next week, but the only downside is the route to the office goes through about ten miles of road with these average speedd traps on them. For some completely gay reason, this road is 50mph even though half of it is dual carriage-way!
So, given that its a 50mph...

I feel your pain mate! I bashed my 172 on the 28th of July and...
Sounds like youre got a reet Friday afternoon car there mate. If Reno are claiming to have fixed the problems but theyre reoccuring then Id be inclined to just cut your losses and get rid. Sometimes its just not worth the hassle...
Similar for me. Being responsible for Internet traffic and checking Firewall useage etc has its advantages. If I ever feel like someone might be getting suspicious and checking the logs themselves, then I RDC out to our web server and surf from there. No one else knows the password for our...
First things first: DONT PANIC!
Like Paddy said, if the driver has said it was his fault then it shouldnt cost you a thing. Although, I also cant understand how the bus driver is driving privately?!? If its on the road then it should be insured, either by him or the bus company.
Get in...
Lookin forward to seeing this beast Danny! Forgot to mention before you come up here tho, theyve put in some b*****d speed humps around Charles St. so you might have to do the unthinkable and raise it before you set off:o
Well theyre Renault prices. Youre allowed to get a quote for the work from somewhere else if you wish. You dont have to get it repaired at the insurers preffered bodyshop.
Having said that, if youre insurance will cover it then theres no real benefit of trying to get a cheaper quote. Unless...

We may all moan about Renault, but at the end of the day they cant be that bad as we all love our cars:)
Very true, Mike. Id love it more if actually had it back from the garage tho!
