I think that Jeremy works in a completely different department to the cust services. Therefore he doesnt have anything to do with them. If you do write a letter, good luck. YOull need it. If you get anything other that a lame, bullsh*t response from them, Id be very suprised.
evening all.
Welcome to the club Ken. Enjoy your stay.
It might do to reduce the size of your avatar pic a bit, its huuuge! I can reduce it down in size for you if you like.

Ive got an P77MP and its a great little unit. It looks good and sounds good but its really let down by the small display screen. Alpine make some great sounding head units, but Im always put off by the way they look. I dont like the button arrangement, but thats just a personal thing.
Thanks for the words of support! My dad didnt get very far with customer services today, although he has written a letter of complaint to some head honcho about the part being delayed and also the poor work by the customer serv dept. Also the order has now been upgraded to critical order which...
Hmmm, Id have thought that the insurance company will just turn around and say its Renaults fault for not delivering the part??
The car is currently at the Bodyshop. They have provided me with a courtesy car. I doubt Admiral will be able to pay out now that the repairs have been approved and...
As some of you may know, I crashed my 172 three months ago. The insurance company eventually decided to repair it. The bodyshop who are repairing the car ordered the parts on the 18/08/2004. All arrived quickly apart from a roof skin which went onto factory back order.
Two months have since...
Same thing happens on pretty much all the old clios. Theres a switch that controls the fan blower which wears out. Its located under the scuttle panel, beneath the front wipers. Its a b*****d to get at. On my old clio, the multiplug that runs to it had burnt out and needed to be replaced...
I made a claim through Admiral. Took three weeks in total for them to decide what to do with the car. Kept sending faxes through to people that would never arrive. They were good at answering the phone quickly, just not that ot at actually being able to provide me with any information. In the...
Hmmm, I dont like them. Now that the racing blue 182 can be had with blue stripes, it just makes it look like youre trying too hard to copy it. Up to you, but Im not keen tbh.
Has anyone tried making a claim through them? Or cancelled a policy, or anything that actually requires them to do any work? From my experience, some really cheap insurance companies can be a real pain in the arse when you want them to work for you.

Agree with that!
If money was no object and you wanted a top bollock track car, youd hardly use a front wheel drive hatch as a base.

I think the snap in ones can be quickly released from the mounting point. The bolt in ones are bolted down to the body work.
Heres a link to a place I just found which sell mounting kits for both. You can see where the snap in one can be quickly removed from the mounting point...
That website is awesome. All thats missing really is a more diverse product range IMO. I reckon theres a really big market in the current crop of hot hatches for the kind of parts youve producing: 172/182, Leon, New Mini etc. I see youve already got a couple of Civic Type R bits and pieces.
Tom, I sent you a PM a while ago about your TomTom Go but didnt get a reply back...
Was wondering where the cheapest place was that youd found? The lowest price Ive seen so far was £430.
Cool. Have you got a number for Renault UK that I can use? I assume you simply rang up and said Im waiting for x part which has been ordered by so and so garage and they were then able to find the parts? Or did you need to ring up with some sort of order reference number?
cheers

Had an incident in the 172 not so long ago which, among other things, requires a new roof skin to be fitted. The bodyshop that are dealing with it say that this is on factory back order and they can give absolutely no idea how long it will take to arrive. At first he was saying it could be three...
Heard a few bad stories about these kind of places. If the car is on site and you go to buy it then you might be ok. If they have to order it for you then your gonna be waiting ages cos theyve got very little buying power with manufacturers.
Bloody hell dude that sounds pretty bad. I smashed up my 1 week old 172 a month ago today. Thankfully it was repairable. Similar circumstances to how youve described; going too fast into a bend, spun off into a hedge. Even after four weeks still cant understand why I was going so quick. The main...
I had them on my last car and loved them. Will deffo be getting some fitted to the 172 when it comes back form the bodyshop. Part of the reason I crashed it was due to the front end grip giving up the ghost so easily. Ive lost trust in the standard contis tbh and will be going back to what I...
