Interest For Car Detailing In Yorkshire.

SRP will do little to nothing in correcting swirls or defects.

No probs alot is common sense - but getting strike through clearcoat is easily done if a car has been badly painted etc. It just bugs me there is lots of info of the web (mainly by people selling them) saying that you can't do damage with one !

Meguirs Soft Foam Applicators and advice please

I have got Megs ones and non genuine cheaper alternatives that must be 5 years old and all are still fine. ( I still have the orgional one that came with my first bottle of gold class wax!) Washed well after every use with fairy liquid and then hung on the line to air dry none have died on me...

    Washed and SRP'd Last Night...

For correctional jobs yeah much better out there. As a direct replacement for SRP there is not a product out there that ticks all the same boxes.

Common misconception - It is actually very easy to damage paint even with a PC !

Only dusts with user error - Use less and work it properly ! VM can not be directly compared as they are quite different products. I would use both personally. VM is a nice product, yes easier to use but I doubt there are any products in the world easier than VM. It hides more defects than...

    Washed and SRP'd Last Night...

In what way ? Cleans up the paint nicely, leaves a good base for sealants, one step product that leaves behind standalone protection, cheap and easy to use, light defect correctional abilities and swirl filling properties.

    Whats a Sealent?

Waxes are mainly as the name suggests Carnauba wax with whatever else added. A sealant is man made and may contain waxes in some cases. They should be more durable than a wax but it is not always the case. Sealants are more fussy in the fact to get the best out of them they tend to need a...

What pads ? DS2500's here and they still need nothing more than soap and water.

Eeek did not realise that spoiler actually meant drilling the valence to fit it, no just a case of taking it off if you dont like it. The fact Renault could not even be bothered to supply the correct colour centre caps would annoy the hell out of me. Uber clean though, how many miles on the...

Seems to look good on any colour :) As every sealant once you have the layers on looks better when topped with a wax.

    Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger

Put it this way less than an inch in the bottle did 5 coats the other weekend being very liberal - bottle lasts ages. I can do at least 3 coats in the time it takes just to apply one coat or EGP let alone allow it to cure and remove. Main bonus is no cure time, no worries about getting it on...

Castle Combe - Formula Ford Carnival 2008

Yeah it was as far as I could get again ! Wets for the Saloons means a set of road tyres with some tread rather than the worn/buffed road tyres they use in the dry. Nick runs the same Toyos wet or dry, but the wet ones have proper tread of decent depth compared to the buffed ones for dry use...

    Bilbery or I4D Bright Wheels

How come you are getting through so much wheel cleaner ? Clean them up once, polish and seal them and you will only need to use soap and water after that :)

A moist day at Castle Combe

Great shots as ever Chris, BMW shot through the fence at Camp ? Really wanted to get to Old Paddock for the Saloon race but time did not allow after a change of wets for Mr Charles.

    Sealant and Wax

Lime Prime is a pre wax cleanser - no point using it before most sealants as they won't bond to it.
