i sold my 70-200 for the same reasons as you. Will hopefully be picking up a Canon 100-400 in a couple of weeks for a good price. Was also looking at these as an option second hand. Didn't big peaches have one of them for a month or two?

Remote shutter cable? I have heard that the cheap wireless ones from eBay do a good job for a fraction of the price. As you probably won't use it a lot of the time, you might as well save the cash and get a cheap one.

Sometimes rebooting the router fixes the problem too, although you have probably done that several times already. Tom could be right on the channel. My old nokia mobile would fail to connect when the router was on certain channels. You will have to log into the router. Google your model...

Google your model number along with "hack" and you'll find one of the many sites with the info that you need. No idea on the PS3 though. I think it was possible on the old one with a disk or something first.

Stick the old GFX card back in and see what happens.
