I have had it all for a while. Most lenses I bought second hand so would be able to make a small profit on even.
The only real hit I would be taking is on the 40D body. But €400 in a year and a bit is not too bad.
In an ideal world I would have the 50 f1.2, 85 f1,2 and the 135 f2.0 with the...
Mostly family/ portraits and landscape.
Lenses at the minute are:
Tokina 12-24 f4 (Crop sensor lens)
Sigma 30mm f1.4 (Crop sensor lens)
Canon 24-105 f4L IS USM ABCBBQ
Canon 70-200 f4L
As well as a 430 EX and the BG-E2N grip.
I would be getting shot of everything except the 430EX...
A good friend of mine has offered me the chance to buy a new Canon 5D mkII for a bargain price (35% discount!)
In order to be able to buy it, I would have to sell pretty much all the gear that I have already. It would be ace to have a full frame camera and IMHO, the 5D mkII would not need...
I tested a load of different routers before I found one that worked for me.
Linksys WRT610N came out top of the pile in terms of wireless speed and reliability. It is pricey but has loads of options and the bonus that you can plug an external USB drive into it and use it either as network...
Crops, simple cloning, vignettes, contrast, levels, noise, grad filters.... possibilities are endless! There are loads of automated tasks which also do the job nicely without having to put too much effort in.
I also use it to handle batch processes like exporting to Flickr, it is also the...
Adobe Lightroom! It's and awesome piece of software and much better suited to simple image enhancement than Photoshop.
Photoshop still gets used when more specific edits are needed but Lightroom saves me hours the majority of the time.
I would have thought that 450W was enough to be honest, unless it is a really crap one that does not do as advertised.
I have a 500W Enermax powering an overclocked C2D, 4GB of RAM at 2.1V, 4 x hard drives, a 4870 graphics card (needs 2 power cables), 4 x case fans and have never had a issue...
Amazing trip by the look of it. Nice touch with the ring web cam photos too!
Would love to do this one day, but will have to wait for the kids to grow up a bit. Hearing "are we nearly there yet" for hours and hours and hours would take some of the enjoyment out of it.
Go through your system restore to the last piece of software you put on before you had problems and restore it.
I have had it with a s**tty piece of French software that I have been testing. It works fine on some images but on others it kills explorer on start up. It was fine until I had to...
Save yourself time and dont worry about listing the EXIF data for shots. I have an EXIF viewer plug in for firefox which is handy should I want to know more about how an image was created.
EXIF is only really interesting if you are trying to understand how somebody has created a certain image...
Just been playing this for a bit. Very linear game play that feels like a story that you are allowed to click on occasionally. Don't think that I'll bother to finish it.
