You can say that about a Scooby STi aswell. The Cup has been engineered by performance experts. Its not just the pretty looking 172 that most 172 owners wish it was.
And what about the different suspension?
Different wheels?
Different brakes?
The Cup is more than a 172 with bits removed. They should make a proper 182 Cup though.
Its not so much the fact that some dealers will take an import and some wont, its just the extra hassle that goes with it. I wouldnt want to be driving around in something I knew might be a nightmare to sell.
I dont blame people for getting import 172s, (thought very seriously about it...
You bought the car without finding out what CC was first?
Good choice though. Went out in mine today and had the CC on to cool me down. It could do with going a few degrees colder though I think. I dont think its going to be cold enough for me on really hot days.
Surely youve not done much mileage in it though? And you could have stuck with the cup at least until the summer? Did you P/Ex the Cup?
Still waiting for a chance to use the air con on mine. And Ive only done 1100 miles.
Yes, only the other day I had the climate control in my CUP warming me to a nice 24 degrees C.
And Ill be blown if I can tell whether the side bolsters of my Same As 172 Seats (except slightly lower for better driving position) have leather on them or not when Im sitting in them.
