I'm looking to read up on car suspension/chassis setup.
The sort of stuff I'm interested in learning about includes geometry, spring rates, damping, anti-roll bars and how it all interacts.
Thanks
Your diet sounds good Pete, I must get back to Hal...
Cheaper to put a second hand engine in than acquire and fit a new head. Over 200 quid in parts just to refit the head.
Better the devil you know sometimes though...
I drained my tank before dropping. I was worried it would distort as I undid the bolts as it had so much fuel in it.
Couldn't get a pipe in there due to the anti siphon stuff had to remove the bottom hose hold the flap open with a screw driver with a bucket underneath it lol.
I was covered in...
I get a bit of rubbing on extreme cornering.
Mine is lowered a bit 30-40mm and has 16mm rear and 25mm front spacers with the std et38 wheels and 205 tyres.
Se equivalent to et13 front and et22 rear.
I don't know what sort of events you're planning James but IIRC you only need an FIA cage for international events and maybe national A?
In national B it should be built to MSA or FIA regs but I think they just make sure it has the minimum points/bars and looks ok - no certification required...
Just checked the cert.

Check the 253-* pics
Edit: Forgot to add it says can be modified according to FIA drawings see appendix J.
Is your cage totally custom built and then FIA certified?
Mine is just and OMP FIA job same as toast has. It says on the cert can be modified according to some pic in the fia regs - this pic basically includes just about every extra bar you could imagine.
Might be worth chopping some bars out...
CSCC are modifying and renaming their Deutsche Marque series to Modern Classics. Aim is any car > 2 litre but sub 2 litre forced induction are allowed too. It does say have to be in production before 1/1/2000 but it also says the rule can be bent.
I guess they'll have to change again in a few...
For my 172 cup the rods were about 16mm longer than anything ECP had. I guess your 182 FF would be the same.
For the correct length you need to go to the dealer AFAIK. The shorter ones would still have gone about 20mm into the TRE though, but the original one was nearly 40mm inside.
