Agreed, think I went through most pads available for the Clio DS2500, DS3000, Mintex 1144, 1155, Carbone Lorraine RC5+, RC8 etc and was never really happy with any of them, tried the DS1.11 last and they were the one, lol.
Good vid. Looks like you were the better driver in the slower car as the s2k's lines were shocking at times. As for the 7 douche bags, these tools seem to be at every TD I've ever attended.
Can I ask why you didn't fit new valve seats then if the valves and seals were new? As you never did give me the receipt I asked for with the detailed breakdown of the work carried out.
Bar the fact my car idled like crap, had random surge's of power off throttle oh and blew up after 300 miles of being mapped. I put it down to bad luck but seems i'm not the only one who has had engine failure not long after taking a trip down to them this year. Spoke to a really clued up guy...
Look a little to aggressive for the Clio at neat 0.6 MU. I had the RC8's with similar coefficient and they were terrible. Far to aggressive with little modulation. Saying that the graphs don't always give a true reflection of performance IMO. I was sceptical about the DS1.11 being under 0.5 MU...
The black bushes are 'grease free' but are very common the creak under load. Mine are doing it on the VRS and its annoying. I'm just going to remove the bushes, smooth off the ARB with sandpaper and grease them up. Should work for a while as spraying WD40 on them helped for a day or 2. Also the...
Anyone ran both? Have ran the DS1's but not the DSUNO's which look beastly on the coefficient charts below. Not sure they'd be as kind on discs and last as long as the DS1's though. Currently got DS2500 but had them fade pretty easily on a recent spirited drive out. Pads would only be used on...
The new motor is struggling with these temps. Its feels like a different car at 6am in the morning compared to the afternoon drive home.
Forgot how much TC'd cars struggle in these temps.
I'd bet there's a 20-30hp differnce. The open cone filter wont help as well.
I really cant see the point in putting 430 ponies through the front wheels. Not read the spec in detail but you'd be needing some serious hardware to keep them contained. More than likely power and torque is dialled back in the first 3 gears. The 3MPS boys do it with there 400-500hp builds, some...
