You can indeed fiddle XP to allow multiple simultaneous logins. I've done it and it worked well, google for some guides. Although it doesn't appear to be possible if the PC is on a domain.
Or you could stick VMware on the PC? Then each user could have their own "computer"?
I pinched an old Poweredge 2400 out of work, it holds up to 8 drives and possbily more with a bit of fiddling. You can get them on ebay for under £40. I upgraded the single 500Mhz processor to dual 1.26Ghz, stuck 2x 4 port SATA RAID cards in and a gigabit network card, all for peanuts. Of course...
oooo F&F was good, expecially the first race :) But I thought even superbit stuff was still 768kbps? I've bought a few japanese DVDs as they usually have full bit rate DTS.
^^agree with above. If you have decent equipment, you might notice a difference. Some DTS tracks are awesome (Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan), but to be honest most are much of a muchness on most systems. Almost all DVDs in this country use "half bit rate" DTS (768kbps) rather than "full bit...
I haven't, I know they're only 6mm new but they looked at lot less than that. The guy that fitted my DS2500s at the front showed me when it was up on the ramp. They look pretty fooked. Plus there's a lot of resistance as the pad seems to be pressed against the disc. I wonder if this accounts for...
Aye, business support = good, home/pleb support = poor. I had a PSU fail on one of our servers. Quick phone call and I had a brand new one on my desk in 2 1/2 hours.
My uncle is the manager for the council roads department. He hates his job. The tossers higher up make him spend money on "Twentie's plenty" signs instead of resurfacing roads. Some of the stories he tells me about how the council is run would make you weep as a tax payer....
That explains it, the component cable is an analogue interconnect. In this case you will see varying degrees of quality depending on the cable. If you are using HDMI without any of the above mentioned problems then you have nothing to worry about
If an HDMI interconnect is causing quality problems, it usually takes the form of snow, drop outs or something else fairly obvious. This could happen in a situation where the cable run is too long or there is some sort or EMI. Are you sure it was an HDMI interconnect?
If a digital interconnect works without artifacting, there's absolutley no point in buying one at twice the price. I would assume that Sky provide a cable that works, so there will be no benefit what so ever in replacing it.
Do you mean it kind of jumps in sections rather than smooth scrolling? Have you installed the lastest video drivers or are you using out of the box XP ones?
I see a few round my way. TBH I don't really care about image much, if the car puts a smile on my face then I'm happy :) I've always liked the VTS as well, I wouldn't mind owning one somewhere along the way.
Usenet has TONS of stuff, my current collection is getting on for 1.5TB ;)
54g should be more than capable. HD content is about 20mbps absolute tops, most material available now is 10-15mbps. So unless you have a crappy signal you should be fine.
It is slightly careless of manufacturers to...
I had this fault, first dealer said it was because I was accelerating too hard and there was nothing wrong with it  Second dealer replaced the brake sensor switch and that sorted it.
I've used a similar device from ebuyer to share a keyboard and mouse between 2 computers, it worked well.
Do remember that USB has a limited range. You can extend this by daisy chaining a few powered hubs along the way, but there is a limit to how many you can use.
I have some episode caps from BBC-HD and they are absolutley stunning. The retail versions should be at least as good. I would have had an x-box HD-DVD drive for my PC but my damn 7800GTX doesn't support HDCP
I used this at one of our sites to get a scanner working accross terminal services, I think it will also do what you want:

It isn't cheap but it did work very well!
Aye, no worries. I'm getting some dot 4.
I was thinking of getting a haynes manual and trying this myself. I really should start to learn this stuff. Plus it would save a fortune.
