Interesting piece on 5th gear recently, they put the 197 against the VXR. Despite the VXR having more grunt, it got it's arse handed to it by the 197 at Cadwell Park by a large margin.
I'm thinking of changing myself at the end of the year, a second hand DC5 or Focus RS could be on the cards...
True, but if your watching XviD movies compressed onto one CD then that's the last of your worries! Plus typically computer/software based scalers offer equivalent or better quality to their hardware counterparts, so I doubt you'd get much benefit if any in this instance.
Well you can try 90/99 minute CDs, but the compatibility of these discs is variable. I would just stick it on a DVD for the sake of easyness. You could also look at snipping the credits off the end to save a few MB.
The theory is that the dealership can buy cars from Renault and register them. This bumps their sales figures up as technically the cars are "sold". Salesmen will tell you that this will allow them to get their bonuses from Renault etc.
However I spoke to a guy who has worked for AC for 20...
I think that's for the Phase 1, you might have a Phase 2? Both can be Y plates. I think this is the book you want:

Depends, if you want to play it on a PC or a DivX/Xvid capable DVD player then create a normal data disc and just drag the file on. If you are playing on a normal DVD player you will probably have to create a VCD or DVD disc, in which case you will need to do some sort of conversion. Depending...
If I were after something like this, I think I would buy an X-Box for £50. Mod it with XBMC and it will play just about any media format you throw at it. You can also fit a bigger hard drive to store your files and also connect USB hard drives etc. Plus you can stream across a network from your...
When I was buying mine Arnold Clark had millions of pre reg 182s, it was a case of take your pick. I phoned up one branch looking for a black-gold, and the chap said he had 27 pre reg cars on their system all with delivery mileage, nevermind the other colours!
There was a fad for a while with 90 and 99 minute discs. I haven't seen many recently though as I think most people would just use a DVD given the cost.
You can get an 800Mb MPEG onto a CD using VCD. VCDs use Mode 2 recording which means there isn't much error correcting data so more more room...
Deeg is absolutely correct, it's illegal and you run the risk of getting f**ked if you have to make a claim. If the insurance company sees a claim from a young guy driving his "dad's car" automatically alarm bells will start to ring. Remember these companies don't make big profits by paying up...
Not strictly Clio related, although I think they did a Clio with the same 1.9 engine (DC60)?
Basically his engine doesn't seem to run right. It splutters and stammers at idle, sounds like its going to cut out. Also he says that when he starts it for the first time, the revs go high then it...
20meg goes down to 5, check the above link for all the details. And strictly speaking its "traffic management" they are implementing, which means all protocols/traffic are throttled down. "Traffic shaping" would allow for specific protocols (P2P etc) to be shaped and allow web browsing etc to...
VM are rolling out 20 meg and at the same time uping the price of their "XL" package by £2. In addition, users are now subject to traffic management in the evenings.

I've not got 20meg here (Renfrew UBR) but a mate down the road in...
Loads of people, particuarly those who would pay £37/month for "unlimited" 20 meg broadband. That's not even a single HD TV episode or a single DVD. And it's potentially 4pm - 4am since you will be traffic managed for 4 hours from the time you breach 3Gb.
However traffic management is the...
Have a look at your modem configuration, depending on your modem it might tell you. Go to http://192.168.100.1. Failing that get Docsis Diag by Robin Walker here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d.h.walker/, this will allow you to view the full modem configuration.
If I'm struggling to get 4 meg from my 10 meg, there are 2 chances of me ever seeing 20 meg ;) I suspect it's simply something for their marketing department to hype up, something Virgin seem to be very good at. Of course should you be lucky enough to get 20meg, it will only take 25 minutes at...
I don't know, I'm having a look now. "Be" do 24meg ADSL2 in my area, however ADSL is often more variable in terms of what speed you actually recieve. But I can't imagine it being any worse! Which means I'll have to transfer my phone back to BT and Virgin will be getting £0.00 a month from me...
I can also confirm that my previously faultless NTL connection has gone to s**t since Mr Branson got his paws on it. I've had it since NTL started offering broadband, I've always got the speed I've paid for. Now I'm lucky to get 4 meg from my "10 meg" connection in the evenings.
To make...
