Yes. Your own wifi is free. He'll need to be connected to the wifi to do anything that requires an internet connection. You might have to pay for the wifi at airports etc. But you'll never connect to it accidentally.

Yep. My mate and I went halfsies on logomaker but you had to plug the phone in so we used his house as it was close to school. People would come round, change the logo, pay their 50p and it was done!
