You can also just undo one side of the bumper and not take the whole thing off. I did it the other weekend and aside from snapping the the plastic bolts on the top of the grill (grrrrrrrr) there was no problem.
Thanks all for the answers.... looks like it may well be the lens without it as it will save me 100 Euros. It will be an "everyday" lens rather than for any specific shots. I still want to treat myself to a L series at some stage but am moving house next month and dont want to have to sell the...
Does anybody here have any experience with them? I have the chance to buy a 28-135 IS USM lens for a good price but was not sure if it warrented the extra over the 25-105.
Does the IS improve the picture quality at slow shutter speeds a lot?

You can try to delete it via the task manager:
File/ new task/ browse/ then select the file and in the same second, hit delete.
The problem is because windows cannot read the file (normally when you put your mouse over a file, there is a little explanation about size etc)...
Move everything that you want to keep out of the folder that it is in and delete the folder itself. You have to do this before you have openned the folder after a restart.
Is it a slot that takes a few cards? The memory stick one on mine can be a bit tricky sometimes as it takes MS & MS duo in the same hole... could be worth having a fiddle?
As for the cropping, use a program called photozoom pro to upscale them first. It works better than photoshop and is good for an A4 - A3 conversion.
It is by a company called Shortcut. I have a long term trial copy.... and it does have to be 4!
Turn the PC off, plug everything in, turn the TV on, turn the PC on... it should resize the screen and work....
