yeh when i bought my car somebody had put some rad weld in, it did its job but i soon flushed it out and put a new rad in, didnt like the idea of the stuff in my system.
The wynns stuff though reads as though it will soften up the seals and then i could flush the oil and put new stuff in? or is...
has anybody tried this stuff to stop oil usage from leaky valve stem seals?
My engine burns about 1 litre per 1500 miles, i compression tested it and the readings were all normal, i dont get any leaks so though this stuff may work.
or is it a load of rubbish engine killing crap...
I fancy doing and air con delete on my 182 as its crap anyway and still is even after my regas for the heatwave.
I'll be selling the car next year, would you think having a PMS delete kit installed would noticeably reduce the value of the car or is there a possibility it could increase the...
no worries mate, just been out and got the wheel striaght now anyway, just going to have to use the string method or similar to check if the wheels are both facing the same way.
North loop,I get that mate so I'm going to do that to straighten the wheel, but what I cant do is make sure both wheels are facing the same way without doing what has been mentioned in the above links.
what tools will i need to do the tracking myself?
i recently changed both track rod ends and went to the local tyre place to get the tracking done, set off home and it was miles out, so took it back twice for them to do it properly, second time my steering wheel was aiming right when going...
I unbolted the bearing carrier to give a bit more play.
Then got a big flat head screwdriver, placed it on the end of the shaft where it sleeves over the shaft coming out of the box and gently tapped it with a hammer untill it came away.
Also, I unbolted the complete hub assembly from...
Changed my clutch at 85k because the bearing was a bit whiney , when I got it all apart the clutch looked to have nearly as much meat on it as the new one.
New one is a lot easier to press though.
Yeh I thought that Dan but I won't be able to get a torque wrench on them.
I did them pretty tight, I'm more worried about uneven pressure a cross the plate...or am I just been pananoid?
I changed my clutch a few weeks ago but I've just realized I didn't torque up the pressure plate bolts, I just nipped them all up tight.
The car has been running fine and clutch doesn't slip.
Should I take the car to bits again to torque them up or is it not likely to be a massive issue?
I'm not 100% because I've never seen a 197 engine bay, but as it uses the same engine as the 182 I'm guessing it will be on top of your gearbox next to the flywheel.
Was here on my 1.2 aswel so can't see the 197 been any different.
You might need to move some of the air filter housing out...
All u have to do is jack the car up, remove 2 nuts, push cat to the rear so you can remove old gasket, put new one in, put new nuts washers and spring on.
