Proxies are good in the dry, but crap in the wet .. and the wear quickly but their cheap.
I think my next choice seeing as its coming into winter will be Uniroyal Rainsports.
Make sure and stick it on right though, I was behind a 172 lookalike in edinburgh, and he had the badge aligned to the wrong side of renault.. aswell as a sunroof..heh

Well at least you will still be getting stared at .. but for different reasons lol.
I can only assume that it has to use some other method of detection when using air-con + heat. Like a temp sensor in the air-con system. It must have as people say the air-con wont come on if the outside temp is too low.

Hmm, the forum seems to have spelling problems aswell.. to should be too as in "too long" not "to long" :p
On Topic: Lets face it we all have problems with our cars, its getting...
sounds like the inside air temp sensor is broken, when on max it will ignore inside air temp as its not trying to set a specific temprature, just to chuck out as much heat as possible.
I think, but dont quote me on this.. that the inside air temp is in the interior light fitting, you will see...
how about this one..
http://images.bravenet.com/common/images/smilies/15_weeping.gif why can I get that.. its not fair..http://images.bravenet.com/common/images/smilies/7_mad.gif
You know its times like these that really want to make you misuse my moderator status.. ;)
nice one ... how does it compare to the unbeatable cup then ?
I was quoted £120, I got charged £160 .. lol
They idiot on the end of the phone quoted me for a base model clio.. even although I stated "now this is a 172 I have, you know the 2 Litre one.. doesnt it cost more to service than the lower powered ones ?"
Ofcourse I only actually started...
Disconnect battery couple hours before (to discharge airbags).
Jack up the car, remove rubber grommets from underside of car, use socket set with long socet as the bolt sticks out quite far. Undo the 4 nuts, undo airbag wiring etc. lift seat vertically up then out.. job done.
Your question should have been how could I see my lights dimming when I was hitting my head on the horn ? ;)
To answer your question though, no mine doesnt do it.. maybe worth checking your battery out.
If i switch on my rear demister, switch on my stereo and turn the volume up to 25, put my full beam and fogs lights on (front and back), wiggle the steering wheel with one hand and press the electric windows for passenger and driver side with the other while tooting the horn with my head and...
One other intersting thing, does the fitting of this turbo kit require the removal of the air-con ? or did you find a way round that problem .. there isnt exactly an abundance of space under the bonnet.
Well they have come in very handy recently.. you actually get steam comming off the 172 ones if you leave em on for 5 minutes (takes about 5 minutes for the rear screen to de-ice)
