Surely buying a JCW is more costly than say, continuing to run just the R32 as you'd lose a lot more in depreciation?
Or am i missing something?
Either way, sounds like u fancy a change so get the Mini then!
Yeah, did look at Evos and Scoobies.
However insurance on those are crazy. The Civic is 'quite' reasonable but Evos and Imprezas seem to draw quotes of £3k or £4k which is just daft.
Goes with livin in Manc postcode I guess and bein under 25.
Lol. 'tis a bit of a marmite car.
I actually work as an accountant so it'll be interesting to see my bosses' face when I turn up to work looking like an extra from Fast & Furious!
Well, following on from this thread http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=314911&page=3
I thought I'd drop in with some pics of my new motor for anyone who's interested....
Firstly though, a few pics of my old cars that may interest some.
My old Clio R27. I loved this car.... to...
I finally got rid of my own RS Twingo today.
They're a lovely cars..... perfect for the missus. But not one you'd run yourself everyday as I found out to my cost.
You deffo got the best colour though. Mine was "Mirage Grey" but looked lavendar in the sun.... cue endless mickey taking from...
Awesome car mate.
Can I ask what's the crack with the Mugen N1 ECU?
I remember an old friend telling me his CRX had a Spoon ecu but never paid attention to know what difference they made.
Do they work in the same way as a remap only you're changing the whole unit?
Definitely do it mate.
I actually went the other way, went from a Clio R27 to a Twingo.
One of the biggest mistakes of my life!
They are nice cars, but I've learnt that you should never every downgrade when changing a car.
With regard to the bonnet.... are you referring to the fact that the end of the bonnet 'sits' slightly lower?
If you are, and IIRC, this is normal on all 197s. Something to do with meeting pedestrian impact standards.
lurvley. Tho i'd have to have the coupe with the carbon roof!
What are these driving days? how d'you get on it? Sounds fun being given the keys to a m3!
reminds me of the new Toyota IQ to be honest.
Also, it looks too small to be a new Clio though surely?
Size wise, it looks closer to being the replacement for the Twingo?
Does look quite tasty though to be fair.
Think it was ure motor i saw today outside Lexus in Bolton?
I was in the RS Twingo.
Car looks cool with the Megane alloys.... makes a change from Turinis! :D
May well have been sold.
Drove past a few times over the weekend and couldn't spot it as i was trying to point out the hilarity of the car to a friend.
That S2000 looks lurvely.
Mugen RR's are amazing, but i dont think it'd be the only 1 in europe. I think there are about 3 of those motors in the UK now.
Did your mate buy the Mugen from Performance Cars Manchester?
+1
I hate the steering wheel in the cup. The FF has a lovely chunky item.
And although keyless entry/go sounds bit pointless, once u have it u'll never know how u did without it.
I used to have an r27, but am back to normal keys in the Twingo. Lost count the number of times i try to open...
How many members does CS have?
Maybe if we all put in a fiver, we could buy the car.
I'd be a bit upset if some muppet chav bought in and wrote a piece of clio history off.
Its okay, but i used to have a Clio R27 so its gonna obviously feel a bit of a step down. Its very good for a warm hatch though.
I had to do a double take when i saw it at £5995. I'll keep an eye on it. Can imagine it staying there for a while at that price
Its not everyday that you drive through Breightmet (near Bolton) and spot a world famous CS motor.
But thats exactly what happened today, and shock horror, is on for a frankly bargain £5995.
Obviously i spent most my morning trying to thrash out a deal to trade in my 58 plate RS Twingo for...
Think it was you i spotted earlier.
Only saw u at the last moment so couldn't manage a wave.
First time i've seen the white speedlines in the flesh, looked really good. matched the RB really nicely.
i think its Paul_197 on there.
yes i do know him.... check out "north west meet" on renaultsport.co.uk
I'm from Radcliffe, drive a near identical 197 to paul's, but mine has a few more of the F1 decals.
