Thanks for your thoughts Malice.
Decided to go plain dixcel heat treated complete with the project mu pads.
I've tried Ferodo DS2500s at the front already, and whilst they were good, they didn't really blow me away.
One of the guys I've been chatting to at Tougue Distribution is...
Cheers for that.
The dixcel discs I'm looking at getting are the heat-treated ones.
Just can't decide on slotted or plain discs. Whats your opinion on the benefits/drawbacks of going slotted or plain disc? Obviously the slotted are a bit more pricey but what other points should I consider...
^^^^
Yeah, were you parked on the hill? Think I might have caught a Clio out of the corner of my eye.
Shame you weren't there in the morning, or you might have caught my massive spin. I was hoping someone might have picked it up on film or camera, but alas it doesn't seem like it.
The...
(I've PM'd u Russ)
Since Russ has unearthed this thread, a quick update of some various bits that I've since got for the car.....
Some Mugen slotted rotors......
Spoon Sports air filter.....
Mugen brake pads....
And had a Spoon engine torque damper fitted too. Pound...
Only ever had a passenger ride in a DC5. The FD2 I'd say seems a bit stiffer and slightly more hardcore which is a little surprising since the FD2 looksa bit more sombre in its saloon suit, though it is a much newer car so it isn't that surprising that its moved the game on a little bit.
Aye...
Re: I dont know what to do - 197 to 200 - advise from long term 197 owners would be g
The price they offered on your car is pretty good I'd say.
In fact, I think I got a bit fleeced by my dealer when I traded in my old R27 a while back compared to how prices have held up.
I had a red R27...
Standard FD2 vs standard EP3, and I'm certain the FD2 will easily pull a lead.
However, the red EP3 in the pics is my brother's supercharged one, running approximately 270bhp and its also got Toyo 888s against my 'normal' road tyres.
Obviously the EP3 was quicker on the straights, but we...
Cheers Jamie.
Car is running Goodyear F1 Asymetrics at the moment.
Rear brakes I've got Mugen slotted discs and type z pads, whilst the front has the OEM disc with Ferrodo DS2500s.
Yeah, I head on the FD2 forums about the white one. :dapprove:
To be fair the car just grips and grips...
Hi all, bought one of those photo packages you get on a trackday, so just thought I'd share a few with you.
Don't know if anyone went today (watching or driving), but you may have seen me launch into a 70mph spin on the first corner! Twas not a nice experience I can tell you!
Typically...
Aww mate, as an ex-twingo owner (in mirage grey too), I felt a bit sick seeing your car like that.
I do kinda hope it was an electrical fault, would be easier to accept rather than arson.
Yeh, mine is a FD2 chaps ;).
And offtt...... that Mugen Type RR you posted Moby....... I'm seriously tempted to chop mine in for it........
£31k for a Honda is crazy.... my God that is tempting.....
I'd be careful on this point to be honest.
A lot of insurance companies ask the question, "have you had an accident in the last 5 years?" as opposed to "have you claimed?"
In theory, if you replied no they could be in a position to not pay out if anything unfortunate happened in the future I...
I know it won't be to everyone's taste, but I absolutely love the WRC-style spoiler on the white new shape scooby.
Think I know what my next car is gonna be.....
I had a play with a 'normal' R26 around Oulton Park a while back and we were pretty evenly matched so doesn't surprise me that an R26-R easily has the measure of the FD2.
Is it really a fair test on the Mini though???
The R26R is probably running the Toyo 888s and the FD2 will probably...
Think the car looks nice as is in the main.
On a side note, can't believe how high it looks in the first picture!
If it was me, I'd save for a nice set of seats/buckets because I just can't get on with the driving position and seats in the 182.
Apologies if these have been posted already, but there are a lot of pages to check through!
Mugen Type RR Advanced
and I just love this house for some reason..... think it's because I like the idea of eating dinner whilst looking at my car.
Thanks for the NSX pics.
Gorgeous.
Don't suppose there is a build thread or similar on the web for that red NSX that I can waste an hour pouring through?
As has been said..... join up.
Here's a link with the buying guide from Evo magazine which gives a bit of useful info.

Oh and you have a Polo G40? Love them.
Epic.
God I hate reading through page after page of awesome builds like that and then getting to the end and not being able to see the finished article cos its not done yet.
Hurry up and finish ffs!
Yeah.
I liked the R26, but I just prefer NA to turbo.
I'd say FD2 has better gearchange and a more exciting engine.
However, R26 has better steering feel. The Civic's is very accurate but feels a bit arcadey.
Think there isn't much in it between them, I'd argue the Civic is slightly...
