I noticed a few small pools of oil gathering on my 182's engine the other day so soaked them up with kitchen roll, checked today and the pools of oil are back. The oil is gathering around the bolts on top of the engine, under the plenum, sorry for the vague description, but im a technical noob...
Anyone used the Novus scratch remover plastic polisher stuff for the headlights? A mate lent me his pack but dunno wether to use it or just wet and dry them.
Spotted both about an hour ago near the cheese farm at blagdon. You must of been both together as you were in a line of traffic with 1 car between you.
Absolutely! So annoying driving round with fans on full pelt for 3 weeks. Got a recond one off ebay for £20.............happy days :)
Funny thing though, was trying to get the awkward 6mm screw out and dropped my 6mm socket under the scuttle panel. Had my hand deep down trying to fish it out...
Yeh, was gonna nip to halfrauds and get some grease, not sure they sell the clips so will 60-90mm jubilees fit? The boot looks ok, no splits etc, but was held on with a zip tie ^^.
Cheers guys.
Drivers side outer boot has come off and all the grease has been dumped onto my rim :(. Is it easy enough to put it back on if the fronts jacked up on axle stands? Just noticed it and have no idea how long its been off so would like to get it done sharpish.
Spotted heading towards the roundabout next to the Wheatsheaf today. Just caught a glimpse, wasn't sure if it was a 197 or 200, either way looked sexy ;)
My dads laptop runs like a bag of s***e. Its about 5 years old, a Toshiba Satellite L300D-18E.
Im not familiar with laptops at all and was wondering if its best to use the recovery disk or a new os to restore the laptop back to as new. I read somewhere that if you install a fresh os that it...
Basically all settings work, just cant turn the damn thing off. Can change the temp no problem, can change where it blows from, can change the speed of the fan, everything but turn the fecker off. When i start the car up, it blows really fast for a couple of seconds then slows down to the...
Kat, i have 2 of them brackets new, was on about the bracket that they screw onto :).
@jesus, are they not round? Was only under there yesterday and forgot already ^^
Can you buy them?
Tried getting my hangers off yesterday and they are totally seized on. Poxy tiny torx screws dont help either.
Tried searching, but just keeps bringing up the hangers themselves ^^.
If you cant, ive got some sheet alu that i might fab some with.
My rear exaltos are looking a little worse for wear. They have plenty of tread, just the cracking round the sidewalls concerns me. Ive heard Michelins are bad for this, is that true?
The cracks are about 1-2mm deep at most, but go right round the sidewall.
Just after some opinions from more...
Just picked mine up from DTM's. Had the belts, water pump and dephaser and all seems spot on. 2 sound lads also, Trev the owner and Andy who does the belts. Definately recommend them and its a relief knowing that there is a specialist in the N.East who knows what they are doing!
Just sold my rig to go towards my belts and other things :(. Did have Asus Maximus Gene V, i5 3570k, MSI GTX 680, 16gb G.Skill Ripjaws X, Silverstone Temjin TJ08-E, Corsair AX 750 psu, Samsung 830 64gb SSD, Crucial M4 128gb SSD, 23" 120hz screen.
Never got used properly tbh, so my 5 year old...
Cornwall has palm trees ??? Thought you lived in bel air for a sec there.
Nice 172 though, good price! Make sure you get someone who knows what they are doing to do the belts!
